*****Beware!!!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!! Bought cake for daughters birthday and it tasted of mold and stale. Disgusting!!!!! Everyone was sick after. So angry we threw it out. How do they sell old stuff???? Still angry so I called to inform them of this. I wasn't looking for refund the minimum should be apology but the woman on phone only offered to say I will tell the owner. Seems like he doesn't care. I looked at some of the bad reviews and I DID NOT LIKE WHAT I SAW!!! We had purchased cakes here in past without a problem . They don't care there . NO ONE WANTS TO FEEL SICK IN TIMES LIKE THESE NOR DO THEY WANT THEIR SPECIAL ONES CELEBRATION RUINED!!!! They got our money BUT NEVER AGAIN!!! ***Beware people. Zero stars!!!!

Been coming here for 30 plus years, my hometown bakery! Moved to Florida and this has always been a stop on the way to the airport for my pound of jelly filled butter cookies my family’s favorite! Was so disappointed to open my box of cookies that i bought yesterday and every cookie in the box was burned, totally disgusting for the $30 i spent! I guess they are busy phasing out the bakery for their restaurant instead, very sad ? An icon is gone

Do not, I repeat do not go to Black Forest Bakery on a Monday! It definitely seemed like they sold me day old food if not two day old food that didn't sell in the weekend! I got two jelly cookies with sprinkles and a cinnamon bun and they were not good. Cookies were burnt as well as the cinnamon bun. I also got carrot cake and crumble cake and they were good and fresh. I've been to Black Forest in the past and it was delicious, but now I can say I wont be going on Mondays anymore.

Ordered bread and a half pound of pastrami.I was told to wait a bit for the pastrami. Ended up waiting 42 minutes, which is fine if they were upfront about it. However they instead strung me along, telling me constantly "it will be right out".They did upgrade me from .5 to 1 pound of pastrami for half the price which is something, but not worth 40 minutes.

Went back for more of their fare. Tale of the tape: Chocolate Chip Cookie Decent cookie, chock full of mini chocolate chips. Better after a short trip in the microwave. . . St. Joseph's Cruller A custard-filled and topped cruller, cut latitudinally like a sandwich. The cruller was light, and the (generous amount of) custard was Black Forest's very satisfying, vanilla-y pudding-textured greatness! Original Crumb Cake Fresh and satisfying, this is everything you want and need in a crumb cake! German Chocolate Cake (mini, iteration 2) I picked up their mini German Chocolate Cake last time, but this one has a chocolate top with a dollop of chocolate with a piece of decorative chocolate fan stuck therein . . . This is for those who want more chocolate and a little less coconut. Similar to it's counterpart, it's also very good! As I waited to pay, another patron was getting his own menagerie of treats. I stepped aside so he could get a look at his take, rapidly growing on the back counter. I suggested he add the German Butter Cake and the Chocolate Crumb Cake to his haul, and he did so . . . I told him he'd thank me for the suggestion, which I make to all of you who made it thus far here in my updated review. I know what you're thinking, and yes, I did pick up another two pieces of this excellent cake extravaganza this time round. Why? Cause if I'd really lost control I'd have purchased the whole tray!

My cake was stale and hard couldn't cut it with a fork, and it was very expensive

I just got the biggest party Cannoli freshly made for my seventh grandchild. It was his christening. It was such a hit. The presentation was beautiful. So many cannolis I got an extra box of them. Then I saw the Fourth of July cake and got that too. It was FRESH. THANK YOU Black Forest Bakery for helping make the party even gayer.

This place use to be my GO TO! It has completely changed. I purchased a ton of cakes and pastries 2 weeks ago and everything needed to be tossed. It was stale and the cannoli shells were soft and mushy. I have emailed them several times with NO response. I called 5 times and no one answered. I was embarrassed and had no dessert for our celebration.

I've been coming to this bakery since the early '90s when I only worked but didn't live in the area. I still have yet to find a better brownie, and the staff is warm and accommodating. The breakfast sandwiches are insanely good as well. I've never had anything from here that I didn't enjoy.

I had heard good thing about breakfast so we tried it. Was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. We ate in and it was a great atmosphere, the service was wonderful and the food tasted better than I had hoped for. Will definitely be coming back soon

The best egg sandwiches in town. Every thing that I have tried is excellent, and those chocolate chip cookies and Lindzer tarts, wow! The staff is friendly and courteous.
