absolute favorite place to eat on Long Island! if you want delicious, quality, fresh food with tons of flavor, this is the place to go! everything they serve is fantastic! the wings are a favorite for my whole family. the pernil and the birria tacos are simply divine! riceballs are great but the white bean dips are literally what dreams are made of! the place is small so definitely make a reservation but omg it is beyond worth it! i always look forward to eating here!

It always cracks me up when people leave 4-star reviews while writing 5-star comments. Just give them 5. Hermanas absolutely deserves it.

I live in North Carolina now, and I’ll admit it…just about everything up here in New York blows it out of the water. Maybe I’m biased. Maybe jaded. Either way, Hermanas stands out even among the best.

The service is exceptional. Quick, attentive, and clearly shaped by a strong management team. You can tell ownership is present and invested because that pride shows in every staff interaction. It’s rare and it’s remarkable.

The food and drinks? Great, of course. But it’s the overall experience that makes this place special. From start to finish, it just hits.

The food was good and the service was a bit too good. The waitresses/servers were at our table to pick up the empty plates and glasses almost as soon as we put it down. They kept asking if we wanted a drink, I mean they were really “Johnnie on the spot” but, to the point that I felt like I couldn’t relax and just chill’ and chat without not having a drink ordered (we did order food). They were EXTREMELY attentive.

Tacos are wonderful and so is the staff. Definitely go here!

I cannot say enough about how much I love this restaurant, the food and the people. My belly and I are so happy that I live 5 minutes away. I have been consistently going to Hermanas since I moved into Lindy a year ago and every time I have been blown away and satisfied with the food, drinks and service. I often do take out and it is well wrapped and ready quick. Their innovative plates are full of flavor and the seasonal ingredients feel very farm to table. Gluten free friendly. The classics I always enjoy are chicken & pernil tacos, the mussels, and wings!! Drinks are also delicious. I recently tried their “Puttin’ 5 Carrots in My Baby Girls Ear” drink and I was skeptical but OMG, turned out to be the best thing I ever tried. The owners and everyone who works at the restaurant are awesome. Snaps all around for Hermanas!!! I wish I had more pictures but I literally inhale the food too fast and forget to snap pictures. Sorry not sorry, just go and check it out for yourselves!

Probably the nicest date night we’ve had in such a long time. We’ve heard such great things about this restaurant and so glad we finally decided to check it out. Most welcoming staff, cutest setup and extremely delicious food. It’s small and cozy so I do recommend a reservation but they kept us updated when seating would open and got us started with drinks and apps then found a spot for us at the bar. My mojito was perfectly made and I even ordered a second one which I never do. Their menu is super eclectic and had so many choices. We started off chips and salsa and elote. Best elote ever. Then had the scallops, shrimp tacos, cauliflower taco, and beef taco. So many more things we wanted to try but it will have to wait till next time. Can’t wait to go back!!

Everything was incredible. Very fresh and flavorful. We had never been so we wanted to sample a little of everything. We got birria empanadas, yuca fries, pupusas, elote, and two tacos (shrimp and fish). Highly recommend it all but my personal favorites were the birria empanadas and elote. Our server Stephanie was very attentive and nice. The other staff we interacted with were very personable as well. Service was quick and food was brought out at a nice pace. Highly recommend this spot!

Dietary restrictions: I don’t drink alcohol and I was able to enjoy a delicious margarita sans alcohol.

This place is such a treasure. The food is clever and unique and delicious with options for everyone. The cocktails are outstanding. And the staff are friendly, patient, and efficient. It fills up so make a reservation if you can. If not, there’s always room at the bar.

Awesome place. Small and friendly. We sat at bar and had drinks and dinner. Good is GREAT. Custom drinks plus few craft beers. Right in heart of downtown Lindenhurst. Never been there before and I would go again and would highly recommend it.

Came here on a Thursday for an impromptu date night and had no issue getting a table for two. A lot of the other places on wellwood usually have all kinds of events going on Thursdays, but we wanted something a bit more lowkey and Hermanas delivered the vibe we wanted. Quaint place, very homey and mellow feeling and music kept at the perfect volume. Staff was also super friendly and attentive, made the whole experience feel relaxed.

Starting with drinks we got a classic margarita and the fancy fashioned. Margarita was on the strong side, but that is no complaint coming from me! The fancy fashioned was a very refreshing and interesting take on a classic old fashioned, dare I say even a favorite?! I just might dare and I've had quite a selection of old fashioneds in my travels.

For food we decided just to split a few apps. We got the rice balls, the pupusas and an order of chips and guac. Guac was fresh and chips perfectly crunchy, plus they even refilled our chips when we got low free of charge, which was a nice and unexpected gesture. The pupusas were delicious and the sauce that it comes with is worth putting on everything (and I may or may not have done so). The real favorite though were the rice balls, who would have thought and Italian-Mexican fusion could blend together to perfectly! But it absolutely hit. My only gripe is that it is a bit pricey for the amount you get, but they at least make up for that with the great quality.

Being right on wellwood, parking can be a little tough but you can try and park along the street right in front. But I would recommend turning down one of the side streets and using the municipal lots nearby to prevent any headache.

Outstanding! Adorable little par restaurant. The lighting and atmosphere is great. Adorable clean bathrooms. The server was so sweet and the food was delicious!! The mushroom empanadas were incredible. Rice balls were good too.

Delicious! The empanadas had a light, flakey crust with savory filling. The truffle mushroom empanada with manchego sauce was to die for! We both had a Pernil Taco which was moist and flavorful with delicious pickled onions. I am glad I asked for the aji verde on the side as that had quite the kick to it! Our waitress friendly and helpful with food suggestions. We will definitely return!
