Wife and I stopped in because it looked interesting.Had some bizarre but tasty cocktails, but the service want that great for a bar with only 5 people and they were a bit pricy.Atmosphere was really nice.

I want to stay local since live in Lindenhurst but too many other choices and if needed go to Babylon then deal with rude bartenders . Won’t go back . Giving it 3 stars cause food is good and other bartender I saw seemed very nice and wish had

I was so excited to try this place. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised; I loved the decor. There were 2 people at the bar and no one at the tables. We were the first ones. 15 minutes later, another table of 4, we were only 2. The service was horrible. We both ordered the fish special, and it was tasteless. I received a tarter sauce, but my friend didn't. We waited and waited she never came back to ask us if we needed anything. We had to get up and ask for it. I was very disappointed ?

Came here on a Tuesday night with a party of five and had nothing but pleasant surprises from the time we got there. Starting with the atmosphere, very cute place, on the smaller side, but I like it that way. Lighting, music level, and music choice were all on point, if you wanted to talk to friends, you could very easily do so and plenty well lit so you can see each other. They also have a cute little photo booth in case that tickles your fancy. Drink menu is pretty diverse, especially if you love an Old Fashioned as much as I do, they have a bunch of different options, I went for the Canadian which was very tasty. Food was great too, for apps we tried the ricotta toast, French fries, humus, corn bread and roasted carrots, all were good but I think the corn bread stole the show for me. It comes with a jalapeño butter to embrace the savory side of more southern style cornbread. For the main course I had the chopped cheese, and any bodega owner I think would be proud to have this sandwich, tasty and the perfect portion. Not to mention prices for everything seemed totally reasonable. One of the biggest appeals though, staff was very friendly and kind and never made us feel rushed. Parking is pretty easy, there is a municipal lot just down the block that has plenty of spaces, along with street parking. Would absolutely love to come back here and just get the chance to hangout more.Parking: Parking is pretty easy, there is a municipal lot just down the block that has plenty of spaces, along with street parking.

This is my new cocktail bar in Nassau county! When traveling there is nothing more that I love then finding a cool spot with great drinks and I'm glad to have found such a place close to home. Jonathan was also such a pleasure to chat with!

A quaint bar/restaurant to enjoy a cocktail. I ordered the Old Fashioned made perfectly. The bartenders were attentive and it's a good first date place to enjoy.

Was an excellent experience. Great apps!! Custom drink request ( chocolate martini) tasted like dessert in a glass. The chopped cheese was legit with fresh made barbecue chips as well as the fresh made burger with homemade fries. This is an outstanding lil lindy spot!!! All that said, without mentioning the atmosphere, music, service, and overall vibe!!!

This place is a true diamond in the rough that is the growing Lindenhurst downtown. From their carefully curated adventure seeker décor, to their friendly welcoming small town bar service. We started our night here, to give our tastebuds their full range to experience the craftsmanship that follows their mixologist Jon. Their "Almost summer" margarita is a masterclass in balance and flavor, with just the right amount of sweet and tanginess combined with a pineapple garnish topped with toasted coconut that elevates the experience. But the real showstopper is the espresso martini - rich, smooth, and velvety, with a depth of flavor that will leave you wondering how they managed to pack so much complexity into a single glass. The attention to detail, decor and craftsmanship at Hunter and Thief is unparalleled, making it a must-visit destination for any cocktail enthusiast.
