Restoration Kitchen & Cocktails

We love Restoration Kitchen, and are frequent customers since we live in Lindenhurst and love their concept, however, we did not have a good experience tonight. We decided to go to one of our favorite places to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary and Father’s Day, aware that Restoration does not accept reservations. After waiting 45 minutes for a Table, one opened up that could fit our party of 6 plus one baby. I went up to the hostess stand to ask her if we were getting that table and she said she planned on putting us there,, however, one of her coworkers’ parents and friends showed up to dine and they were giving the table to them instead. It would’ve been another super long wait for a new table, as we were a larger party plus needed a highchair for a baby. Absolutely discouraging to know that we were turned away due to favoritism for employees. I understand things happen, and I do understand wanting to give preferred treatment to employees, but on a busy Saturday evening at an establishment that does not accept reservations this was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. We won’t try Resto again for a long time now.

Excellent service (thank you, Nick!), delicious food, and a great drink menu. It was an overall lovely experience with a warm and friendly environment. A big heart plus that they support local charities. We will absolutely be back to enjoy again!

I love Restoration! I live in PA with family on LI. 90% of my trips back end up eating here one night.

There is a large variety of unique cocktails. The appetizers are delicious, a favorite is the whipped cheese board. There is a generous selection of Vegan/Vegetarian options for my friend, and there are gluten free options as well if that is needed. The main course menu is plentiful as well, and the portions are large so I always end up getting to take half back to PA with me!

Honestly I’m not sure what the desserts are like (I’ve never seen the dessert menu), but we normally end the night with a cookie/cakey espresso martini. Drink prices are on par for Long Island cocktails ($14-$17) and don’t skimp on the liquor.

Servers and bartenders are always friendly to us. Restoration is great for a girls night out. My only wish is that they took reservations. They can get really busy on the weekends, and sometimes we have quite a long wait. We’ve learned to try and get there by 5:30 instead, so we can also get a spot at the bar while we wait, but I’m all for a later dinner!

A nice cozy little restaurant that serves both brunch and dinner. We really liked the dinner options, the food overall is savory and service was good, most recently we had Mike who was great! Definitely recommend!

We had gone on a Sunday for mom brunch! This was my first time going to Restoration and it was outstanding! From the amazing vibe walking in to the exceptional server we had who never rushed us offered suggestions cause we couldn’t make up our minds! He took my friends coffee to be heated to obnoxious hot cause that’s how she likes it! He was amazing! I hope he is t too disappointed his Bills didn’t make it to the Super Bowl! The Bloody Mary was fantastic and if could have licked the wooden plate I would have!!

My wife and I visited Restoration Kitchen on a Sunday, hoping to enjoy a nice meal. Upon arrival, we were told they were transitioning from the brunch menu to the lunch menu and would need about 20 minutes. We patiently waited to be seated, but once we were, things quickly went downhill. After being seated, we waited for about 10-15 minutes with no sign of our server, no water, and no acknowledgment. During this time, a trio who arrived 10 minutes after us was seated, served water, and introduced to their server.

Despite the long wait, no one approached us. Frustrated with the lack of attention, we decided to leave and head to Babylon Burger Bar instead. Before we left, I asked to speak with the manager, who offered a quick, matter-of-fact apology, though it felt more like an obligation than a genuine effort to make things right.

We’ve been loyal Lindenhurst residents who enjoy supporting local businesses, but unfortunately, our experience at Restoration Kitchen was a disappointment. Since its opening, we've noticed a decline in both service and food quality, but we were willing to give it another try. Sadly, this visit confirmed our concerns.

On the bright side, Babylon Burger Bar was a complete contrast—immediately seated, greeted by our server, and our order taken within the first 5 minutes. It was a refreshing reminder of what good service looks like, and we left wondering why we ever bothered with Restoration in the first place.

If you have not been here, at least once, do you even live on Long Island?? The food: incredible! The service: unmatched! The concept: Beautiful! Restoration donates to local charities.

Some of the best burgers in the area. They also have very good cocktails. Highly recommend the restoration burger if you like spicy food.
