Spasso is a classic family owned spot and you can feel it when you go to the counter. The pizza is made with love and it comes through. I opted for a grandma slice with pepperoni and while the pep gets quite oily the flavor delivers. They have little bench seating right outside that is perfect for a sunny day. The only thing that might make this place better is small seating indoors, slight refresh of the decor, and hey maybe a Negroni on draft (wishful thinking). Overall solid neighborhood pizza joint.

They seem to boast about their “Brick Ovens” but we ordered a calzone and I’m pretty sure it was deep fried. Not sure why. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t what I was expecting. They also mention on their menu that their pizzas come well done which I am fine with but the chicken franchise pizza we ordered was actually undercooked in my opinion relating to the pizza dough. This review is based off my second time here. Hopefully 3rd times a charm

First time ordering from here. Also the last time. First impressions are important. Ordered chicken cutlet parmigiana hero and it came ice cold. Had to put it in the oven to make it edible. I live a few blocks away so that’s unacceptable.

Some of the best pizza in NY! The simple and the specialty all executed perfectly. Long time staff is the perfect example of how quality, consistency and Loyalty run through the owners blood. Proof is in the Pizza!
