You've gotta love The Village Lanterne! It's cozy atmosphere is bolstered thanks to the decor which truly sets the tone in an amazing way. Did I mention the food is exceptional? It's always a treat dining here, and it NEVER disappoints.
This was our first time back since the renovation. The place looks beautiful. It’s cozy and festive. The staff was great. Reuben Eggrolls were good, but the sauerbraten was disappointing. The meat was beautifully tender, but the flavor was a little too bland for sauerbraten. I ordered a side of the spaetzle because they no longer make substitutions, and it was also bland and had a very odd flavor to it. Food is always good, but when it is crowded, as expected, food takes a little longer to come out. I was happy to order an appetizer and fresh rolls came out , which helped with the delay. In the meantime, service was good, drinks were always filled and we got boxes and the check quickly when asked.
