Was walking in the neighborhood with my husband as We are residence of lindenhurst. We barely entered the door, on the corner of Hoffman and Wellwood, felt as though the ice was going to come over the building as we felt the coldness in the atmosphere. We were approached by an older man as he looked at us both and we were not welcomed in there. He said unwillingly “can I help you” ?We are both are retired military and have travel to many countries. We been in the throughout the South, Canada, Europe, Caribbean, South America, Mexico all through out the US including Hawaii and we know the feeling, when we walk into an establishment and we should not be there because of the color of our skin. But that’s ok, out money is Green. Our Platinum and Gold cards work in other places. So we both, with no hesitation turned around and walked out. No worries “we rather not eat your food, drink your cocktails/beer or spend our earn money in you restaurant”.
