This was the best meal, service, atmosphere and drinks we have had in years. The portions were huge... we had the meatloaf and whipped potatoes with a side of perfectly cooked summer squash and veggies along with the white shrimp in pasta with a salmon white sauce. Both entrees were served with fresh garden salads and home made breads. The dessert we tried was the lemoncello mascpanoe blueberry cake. Delicious. The restaurant was decked out with gorgeous Christmas decorations.

The best atmosphere around. The dungeon is very unique and you can order off any menu. We visit all the time for great food, drinks and camaraderie.

The grounds and the castle are beautiful. The dungeon bar is a great place to have a cocktail before dinner. We were lucky that we had a lovely table in the corner of the castle. But it went all downhill from there. Service was incredibly slow. It was three hours from start to finish and only because we pressed our waitress to move things along. We sat down for dinner at 6 o’clock. Menus were not even brought over until 615 and cocktails did not arrive until 645. Appetizers were good but on the small side. We were constantly trying to find our waitress to get her attention so we could order our entrees. Dinner did not arrive until 8 o’clock. My husband ordered a glass of wine to accompany his meal. We tasted our meals only to discover that they were lukewarm We assumed that the waitress would be back shortly with the wine so we could tell her about our food being cold. We waited and waited… our waitress was nowhere to be found. She never came by to check on us or bring our wine. When we finally got her attention after about 15 minutes snd told her that our food was cold and that we were still waiting for the wine, she was unapologetic. We made it clear that we were unhappy with the length of time to get our meals and the fact that they were cold. We thought that perhaps the manager would come over and talk to us but I am not even sure there was a manager in the building. Our waitress offered us complementary desserts but because we were an hour away from home, we asked to have them bagged up to go. Another half hour passed and we had not seen our waitress again and actually had to walk over to the kitchen to find her! Her indifference was apparent from start to finish. Unfortunately, based on other reviews that I have read, this is not the first time that this has happened. It seems to be an ongoing pattern. It is too bad that management does not seem to care that some of their patrons are so disillusioned with their dining experience and will not be returning.
A real experience! Something different. Food was great! The only downside was we waited a long time for our food. Highly recommend the Castle.
