Prices go up, portions go down. Portions were always wildly inconsistent but now they just skim you every single time. Guy gets visibly angry if you pay in coins but don’t accept card under $15😂whole lotta problems at this restaurant but the last straw was finding a piece of metal in my wonton. I live a 3 minute walk away but haven’t eaten from there in months and never will again👍

I have been ordering Best Garden for years. After Covid, prices drastically went up with delivery, but I still ordered every few months. My son craves it, so I do it more for him. Saying all that, they no longer let you order white rice as an option with boneless ribs. Now it’s required to put brown rice. I don’t eat brown rice, so I always put in the notes to change it to white. Never had a problem before until last night. Ordered through Uber Eatslike usual, and guess what, no rice in sight. Spending over $43 not including tip, to get no rice??? Now I need to cook my own rice??? Unacceptable! UE was aware, and never credited me and BG never made it right…Best Garden is getting greedy and heartless. I told my son I’m done with spending my hard earn $ on them. Not the kind of service I expected after many years, but it’s a learning lesson…Beware with the options, very sneaky…

We have been ordering take out from Best Gardens for over a year and the food was fresh and delicious. Our experience tonight was a shocker. The delivery service as usual was excellent BUT there was a drastic change in the quality and freshness of our main dishes. The eggplant and shrimp used to be our favorite. In the past the shrimp was firm, fresh and delicious. But tonight the shrimp quality was very different. It was mushy. It was like eating mashed potatoes. The Singapore noodles were dry and poorly seasoned. We were very disappointed. So if you are ordering you might want to try another kind of dish. We ate a little and threw most of it out. I hope they go back to what they were before.

this is my second time ordering from best garden in Douglaston. this was a take out order, I enjoy that they serve a good portion of food, the rice is my favorite and the fries are so good. the wings don’t really taste like original “Chinese food wings” id rate my meal a 8.6/1” them my husband rates the ribs 8.5/10.

I visit Douglaston once a year, I come from Germany. Very good food, very fresh and plentiful. The price is also very good. The service is also very good. My favorite dish is General Tso's Chicken. Thank you and see you next year!
