they completely gutted the entire place. it's basically a different cafe from before but using the same name and decor. menu looks familiar but all the ingredients have been changed and the food does not taste good. I'm not sure why someone would waste money like this by buying a successful cafe and then changing everything that was good about it

Love this place. The manager is great and the workers are always kind. I asked for dietary changes and they were super receptive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill study spot.

My family and I used to like this place cause food was so good. But last time we went here couple of months ago, we notice how the restaurant is dirty specially the restroom. Then our 4 year old got so sick, vomiting and diarrhea. We had to rush her to emergency hospital. Will not go back here unfortunately.

Hidden in Little Neck, right near my omakase there’s this unexpectedly warm little café ☕️✨
The moment you walk in, you can feel the vibe — cozy wood tones, thoughtful details everywhere. And I was so happy to see the mini dollhouse decorations… I LOVE those (I actually have a couple in my own place but never had time to keep building them… so I really appreciate this)
Even the wall design is super unique — it has this puzzle-like texture that makes the whole space feel playful and interesting.
The coffee is great too — not just good, but the kind you’d actually sit down and enjoy slowly.
It’s one of those places where you can just come, disconnect for a bit, and breathe. Definitely a lovely little spot I’d come back to ❤️

I have always loved Cafe 1 Of a Kind, but won't be back after today. Went there today for a quick bite. Got seated and noticed there was a lady sitting at a table on the other side with her dog. After a little while, the lady came up to the register to order with her dog and the dog jumped on the counter and the person taking her order did absolutely nothing or tell her anything.
Few minutes later, the lady went to the bathroom and left her dog with the waitress at the register. (same lady who took her order) The waitress was playing with the dog and took the dog behind the counter where they prepare drinks. I was in absolute shock and disgusted. Stopped eating my food after this. This is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary.
P.s: This was not a service dog.Not being a dog hater, there are a lot of dogs that are well behaved. The cafe should have a strict pet policy and maintain standard sanitary protocols

The front desk worker was sleeping… tried waking her up…She was knocked out. We just walked out of the store 😂
Stopped by Café 1 of a Kind this morning while my husband was at a doctor’s appointment nearby. I ended up staying for about an hour just sipping my caramel latte and soaking in the cozy atmosphere. The place is so cute, with such warm vibes and really thoughtful little details. The staff was incredibly nice right from the start. They served my latte in one of those adorable cups and saucers that make everything feel special. The caramel latte was perfectly sweet and creamy, just what I needed. When I finished, I ordered another one to go for my husband. But as I got to my car, I realized I’d misplaced my keys. I hurried back inside feeling a little panicked, and the person behind the register immediately jumped in to help me look. We checked around the table, the counter, even under some chairs, and sure enough, we found them. Everything worked out, and I was so grateful for how kind and calm they were about it. They really went above and beyond on what could have been a stressful moment. It’s the little things like that genuine helpfulness, plus the cute setup and great coffee, that make a spot memorable. If you’re in the area, definitely stop in at Café 1 of a Kind. I’ll be back for sure, and next time I’ll double check my keys before I leave!

UPDATE: This weekend I went to my all time favorite cafe and I was disappointed. Apparently there is a new owner and I he quality of the food changed significantly. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with a soup. The grilled cheese may have had one slice of cheese. The soup bowl had less then half of soup. My cousin had the avocado toast with mozzarella cheese; there was barely a spread of avocado. We went at 10:30 a.m. and the bathroom was very dirty. In the years I’ve been going I have never seen the bathroom that dirty. I was so disappointed. The staff continues to be very pleasant and the cafe space is clean.
