Wonderful Father's Day dinner with the family. Every course was excellent. Started with the dips trio and calamari. Fantastic fish-for-two and the delicious soft shell crabs had us saying "wow". The avgolemono soup was the best anywhere. Fabulous wine selection. Desserts were yummy.

An always dependable and enjoyable family owned and cared about Greek cuisine restaurant. Good fish and the owner often knows not only generally where it came from but also where it might have been fished and by whom. The place always has a personal touch. Consistency and quality. Preferred over the larger Greek restaurants that have opened.

Must be a reason we live locally and this is only our 2nd time here. In a word, average. Never had a bowl of chickpeas with pita rather than hummus, just cold chickpeas. My lamb souvlaki was so tough and overcooked, same for my lemon potatoes. My husband's moussaka had no creamy bechamel sauce on top, it came off in one piece away from the meat underneath. To me everything was microwaved or just reheated. Not even worth the $100 we spent for 2 of us. Didn't find the male owner very accommodating either as I am allergic to certain spices. Avli in Bayside is so much better or well worth the extra $$ to dine at Kyma.

The place was clean and nicely decorated. The owners George and his wife Evangeline were welcoming and pleasant. The individualized size of the entree was right plus a shared appetizer. The missals was a come back entree. Fish entrees were fresh. This resto goes into our "go-to" place. A true neighborhood gem. Can't wait to go back.

While I hate to give a bad review local restaurant. Out of the four main courses served. One baked dish was sent back because it was cold and dry. The two other dishes were grilled fish and shrimp on a round skewer. The fish and shrimp were overcooked and dry. We didn’t send them back because we had waited so long. Probably a mistake. I really can’t remember when I had such a bad meal at a restaurant.

Opentable Diner

Everything was delicious. We ordered a salad and an array of appetizers. We would have preferred they didn't all come out at once.

I arrived with my 11 year old today. When we first walked in the restaurant it was empty. I asked where should we sit and the man/ hostess/ owner said anywhere. We sat by the window and he immediately said with a stern voice- I said sit in the corner table. He never stated that. When I asked why the change he said theirs a party he is expecting and needed the table. We arrived at 3:45pm. I asked what time was the party arriving he said 6pm. They had plenty of time to flip the table for the party. I didn’t say anything as I wanted my daughter to have a nice meal. We left the restaurant more or less an hour later. With much time prior to 6pm. The table was left empty and untouched. They clearly did not need that table for the party. My sole guess is that they didn’t want a mix raced family facing their window where people on the outside could see us. Extremely disappointed to feel this type of treatment in this day and age. My husband is half Greek so is my daughter. You never know who you are attending to.
In regards to the food- My seafood salad had small ice cubes in it. When I told the woman hostess nothing was done to address it. The seafood was clearly defrost and put into the salad too early. It was bland and untastefull.
Such a shame to spend so much money on a very poor experience. Prior to us leaving it appeared they tried to be nice. The highest kind hospitality should be extended at first sight of your customers.

George is the best!!!! I came here for an early dinner and all I have to say is WOW! The food was impeccable and so was the service. We ordered the pink snapper and I would have to say it’s the best fish I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. George was so helpful in explaining all of the dishes. We got to sit outside which was a nice touch! I felt like I was away in Greece for this meal! Top notch 5 stars!!

I have come here twice, and now likely never again or at least not again for a while. Both times, my experiences haven't been up to par. The seafood was good- which is what brought me back the second time. Service is strange and slow at times- both personality wise and quality of attentiveness. Not crazy about the man who appears to be an owner and everyone I interacted seemed to have an edge/negative vibe. The "grade pending" rating sealed the deal for my no return. You can have multiple violations and still get an "A" rating. Grade pending isn't good. Bye Greek Islands Little Neck. I'll visit the real deal via Delta one day.

absolutley disgusted with the staff and owner. I walked in at 5:15 with my mom and children in hopes to grab something quick to eat. The place was completely EMPTY. The guy made a big deal we didn’t have reservations and then insisted to “put us out of the way” of his customers who had reservations, i explained i have a baby in carrier he can’t just sit in the walkway and risk getting stepped knocked or hit into. So we left and crossed over to II Bacco, high end italian restaurant AMAZING FOOD they were packed and had no problem seating me and my family even though we were underdressed! I then passed the Greek restaurant 2x in process of changing my daughter and leaving to get back to my car restaurant was still EMPTY!!! Never give these people business.

We shared a Greek salad, Snapper and baklava. Yum...the fish is always fresh, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is a small restaurant so make reservations. The service is attentive without being overbearing. Great evening.
