Had a delicious taste of the Orient while dining at Bangkok Thai & Japanese Restaurant yesterday. 🏯 We were greeted and seated immediately by a very respectful hostess/server.
For appetizers, we split Chicken Money Bags ($12.95) and Crab Rangoons ($8.95). The Crab Rangoons were unlike any I’ve had elsewhere—the filling was reminiscent of a cream cheese Alfredo sauce, making it a gooier filling than expected. They were very flavorful.

The Panang curry from Bangkok Thai and Japanese restaurant was absolutely amazing and the staff are incredibly friendly. I will be a repeat customer because I was absolutely blown away by the flavor
Noodles were so hard to chew and the taste was very very bad
When I took my first bite, I was expecting something bad, but I was totally not prepared for what the 'noodles' actually tasted like. It was gross.
The worst restaurant I have ever eaten at

Bangkok Thai & Japanese Restaurant is known for serving the best Thai food in Syracuse and upstate NY. Customers love the flavorful dishes like the Crab Rangoon and mild chicken Pad Thai. The Crab Rangoons are described as the best and biggest, with a gooey filling reminiscent of cream cheese Alfredo sauce. Despite the delicious food, some reviewers mentioned that the restaurant itself is in need of updating. The decor and furniture appear very dated, with worn-down seating, and some customers noted that the overall ambiance is unorganized and lacks charm. However, the service from the staff is exceptional. One customer praised the efficient and pleasant service, with staff members quickly delivering appetizers and entrees.
Diners enjoyed their meals, including Drunken Noodles with shrimp and Pad Thai with shrimp, both well-presented and flavorful. While the entrée portion sizes could have been larger, the combination of appetizers left customers feeling full. The reasonable pricing aligns with other full-service Thai/Japanese restaurants. Though the ambiance may not be ideal for a romantic experience, the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant were appreciated. Overall, Bangkok Thai & Japanese Restaurant continues to impress with its great food and excellent service, making it a place customers want to return to.
