We used to frequent here often and always got the burnt ends sandwich with sweet potato fries as one of the sides. The other dish pictured is the regular brisket sandwich with regular fries (I added my own cheese bc $2 for them to add cheese is insane). You used to have to pay extra for that side of sweet potato fries, but not anymore. The serving of sweet potatoes fries is just…sad in comparison to the regular fries. I think I’d rather pay the extra for the sweet potato if it means you’d get a normal serving of them, especially since the other sides are also so small.
Also placed an order at 6:53, was told 25 minutes, got there at 7:15, didn’t get the order until almost 7:50. They weren’t very busy aside from a larger table in the back and a few people at the bar. The wait wasn’t really an issue until the third time being told to come back in another 10 minutes.
The food was sub par. The side of mac & cheese tasted like just plain noodles. The sandwiches were okay, wish there was more BBQ sauce on my regular brisket, it was a bit dry.
I’ll assume it was an off night for them and just dock one star for this and will have to try again another night.

The food is good comfort food. Not upscale comfort, but comfort food nevertheless.

Very disappointed with our dinner at Limp Lizard in Liverpool last night. Service was awful. Waiter didn't stop to ask if we needed anything else after our food came out. I never got the second glass of water I asked for, my husband's salad had no salad dressing, my cowboy salad was flavorless and devoid of olives, my friend's wrap came out as a sandwich and her French fries were ice cold, my friend's husband also got a cowboy salad and he asked for olives on the side, which were never received. The dressing for our cowboy salads was running and tasteless. Highly disappointed!!!

They are severely understaffed. One cook, wait staff, although was pleasant was way behind service. We waited an hour for our food. Half of their beer taps are empty. It's obvious they are struggling. I hope they turn things around.

Hopefully their ribs are better than the brisket. Won't be back, definitely not flavor town.

Well I’ve been hearing about Limp Lizard from locals and how they are so much better than Dinosaur BBQ. Maybe I went to the wrong location or the wrong time. So here’s the bad : brisket , the fact I love a good brisket which this wasn’t, it was dry and bland, loaded fries barely had any toppings on them and my girlfriend’s Cuban barely had any meat on it and the chili was just beef and cheese such a disappointment for a first time customer. The good: our server was quick and the smoked wings were good. I will give them another shot in the future, when I do I hope to change this review to a 5 ⭐️.

Coming from Texas, it's hard to find comparable brisket. Everytime we've been, the meat has been very dry. Dinosaur has much better brisket that actually compares to some of the better Texas bbq joints.

We visited the restaurant a Sunday earlier in December it was moderately busy and sat at the bar. Bartender friendly and provided good customer service but as the evening transpired she definitely could have used some help behind the bar. My fiancé had the smoked chicken with double mashed potatoes. It’s interesting how the sides come in small plastic containers even if you dine in, that’s portion control. I had the brisket, hellfire chili, and Mac and cheese, and corn bread. I do recommend the jalapeño corn bread! He really enjoyed the smoked chicken as it was moist and a nice smoked flavor with bbq sauce. The brisket was a bit fatty and lacking moisture and seasoning. I’m not a bbq aficionado so it was fine with plenty of bbq sauce. Their Mac and cheese is always a classic comfort food side along with their mashed potatoes and gravy. The hellfire chili was not as spicy hot as the name suggests, but seasoned with a kick for sure. The Chili is bean free which I like but it also needed more moisture, it really is a cup of seasoned meet topped with cheese. I added bbq sauce to the chili and it was very tasty. I’d love some jalapeños on top and a dollop of sour cream! I love the mural of the lizards in the desert that emulates the Village of Liverpool, really unique touch! Getting the check took some time at the end of our meal, business was picking up and only one bartender to accommodate all the bar guests and drinks for restaurant diners. I think the check was around $50-$60 with two beers a piece.

Was a little disappointed because I had heard this place was as good or better than another popular local BBQ place. The food was average at best for a BBQ joint. It was okay but not going to knock your socks off. No real complaints, decent food and service just don't expect to be blown away.

Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options, my daughter loved the vegetarian burrito it was huge. I had the black bean burger it was pretty good. The two meat eaters were happy with the bbq!

Went to Liverpool location after an hour walk with our dog at the park. We were sat immediately as location was empty. We got our drinks and ordered food a minute later. After 20 minutes our waitress walked to another table and checked on them but not us. After 50 minutes I went to see what the issue was, as 2 different guests received their food already. I asked how much longer and it was and she started another 15 minutes or so. So that would bring us to an hour. I said no thanks and went and spoke with bartender/ manager who said not to pay for our drinks that our waitress required. Bartender said they had two new cooks and shouldn't have put other orders before ours (if even put in at all) Our waitress never checked on us and never apologized for her lack of service or for our bad experience. Will not return.
