I stopped by The Gypsy Kitchen and had a dirty matcha, and it was absolutely wonderful—smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care.
The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. It feels like a cozy little home rather than a café, with warm touches everywhere—even church pews used as seating, which adds so much character and charm. It’s the kind of place you want to slow down, sit for a while, and actually enjoy your drink.
I also picked up a couple of loose-leaf teas while I was there, and I’m really glad I did. You can tell they’re thoughtful about quality.
Overall, great coffee, beautiful vibe, and a welcoming, peaceful space. Definitely a gem in Lockport and a spot I’ll be coming back to. ☕🍵

I frequent Gypsy Kitchen for coffee, and it is consistently hot, fresh, and well prepared.
Today, I decided to try something different and ordered the chicken Thai salad, and it exceeded expectations. The flavors were outstanding, the ingredients were fresh, and the overall presentation was excellent.
Everything about the dish was thoughtfully prepared and truly enjoyable. The owner is always on site, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the quality of the experience. Highly recommended. If you have not visited yet, it is well worth the stop.

We walked in just as they were about to close today and though they were organizing at the end of the day, they greeted us cheerfully, took orders from each of the four of us, and the one drink was great, the food was great, and my panini was actually a panini prepared perfectly. Awesome experience.

Check out their themed events. We attended an evening in the shire: a hobbit themed dinner event. We had A 7 course meal where every detail was perfect. The food and service were great.
We also love their great breakfast items & delicious salads & sandwiches. I am not is coffee drinker but I love their teas & am never disappointed with the variety of seasonal items available.

Oh gosh, what a treasure this place is! I visited after reading the reviews. The atmosphere is so cozy and the cheddar and egg breakfast biscuit was delicious- very hot and fresh. Everyone was so nice, too - both the customers and staff. It seemed like a warm gathering place.
