Two months ago, this restaurant got a new owner. It has been tidied up and is a quaint local diner with real barbeque. It may not look open in the morning as you speed by on South Transit Road. They are open at 7:00 AM every day except Wednesday. If you want a different breakfast, with BBQ as the foundation, stop here at least once. Naturally, they are open for lunch and dinner.

Stopped here for lunch Friday with some Hooliganz Car Club friends. What a hidden gem. Dana, our server, was super friendly. Food choices were plentiful . My friends opted for the huge fish fry while I opted for the omelette that you can create yourself. Comes with 3 eggs, your choice of cheese, toast and hash browns. You can ad what ever you want to it. I chose ham, onions and peppers.Came to $9.50. It was delicious and cooked just right. EVERYONE finished everything on our plates. No wasted food today. Prices were down VERY reasonable.

They have good food and they like to FLAUNT IT If I were a hungry ghost I would HAUNT IT When I don't eat it in awhile I WANT IT It's time to South Transit Family RestauRANT IT WHAT If you're male, it's the South Mansit. If you fly the Millennium Falcon, it's the South Hansit. If you're a crazed Eminem fan, it's the South Stansit. My south is currently in Transit-ion if you know what I mean but that's another story for another day. This is a truly wonderful restaurant and a typical delicious Buffalo Diner but without the Greek element, so no souvlaki and such, located way up in Lockport right on Transit Road. They're sort of like the Buffalo Joe's (Main St Clarence) of Lockport. The town where you rock out with your lock out. They make wonderful breakfast food and everything here is absolutely great. I highly recommend you giving them a try when you're in town cuz they're a lot better than a lot of the popular diners around town. It's also special because it's the last place I went on a date with someone very special to me.

This place is a great place for breakfast and is not too expensive. It is not very big but the food and service is good.l

From the outside, I wasn't too sure about this place. Once I got inside I could tell this was an excellent hole in the wall diner. I got a breakfast sandwich with sausage on a hard roll and I've got to say, it was one of the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. We also got a omelette that came with toast and home fries which was very good. We got those along with two Coffees and hash browns for a total of $21! Good place for good cheap breakfast for sure!!

We're from out of state so when we pulled up to this diner (because of the great reviews) we weren't sure what to expect (because of the area). SO glad we made the stop. DELICIOUS breakfast sandwiches served on a fresh local roll. Great prices and outstanding service: made us feel very welcome at this hometown diner.

I decided on a whim to try this restaurant out and was not disappointed! I can't wait to take a friend back here and try something else from their menu! I came because I love local diners! I'll say I didn't think this place was open since it's always closed when I see it. But I found out it's open 7am-2pm. I called ahead to make sure and THEY DO TAKE CARDS. I couldn't find anywhere online that answered that question. I walked in and it was such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I always want to rate my whole experience, not just the food. I was able to choose my seat, which I liked. The rustic decor was quaint, and I felt like I was at a family member's house with all the photos on the walls. There was a window unit a/c which kept it cool. There was a TV playing. But all I noticed were the people. The familiarity. The waitress (I never got her name) was so inviting and friendly. She knew the customers and they knew her. I watched as people sat and talked to one another, no cell phones out, just catching up like it should be. The waitress was talking to them too. She was VERY attentive to me and the others. I ordered eggs Benedict and fruit instead of home fries. She provided me ketchup, hot sauce, and extra napkins (!!!) - so nice I didn't have to ask for extra napkins. She also kept checking to see if I needed more coffee. The fruit was gross, honestly...which is why I'm taking a star away. SO liquidy and it tasted like it came from a can. I tried to put sugar on it and couldn't stomach it. Also, the English muffin on my eggs Benny was a little undertoasted and cold at the center. Coffee was mediocre. But my bill was super cheap! A total of like, 11 ish bucks for a coffee and breakfast. Worth every penny! This place is quaint, cute, welcoming, and I can picture coming here regularly and getting a rapport with everyone. Loved my whole experience!

I have to admit that I've driven by this restaurant millions of times and never gone in. Too bad for me. The food was really good. The place is a cross between woodsy and diner. The prices are very reasonable and the people pretty cool. I'd definitely go back.
