Trying to pick a place for brunch I saw this place and was like this looks perfect! No wifi which is probably a good thing but not good for a child lol, he got over it. Our food was good. Service was good though she brought waffles out instead of pancakes for our boy, not a big deal except for our picky boy lol who was like yucky! Despite the fact he loves waffles at home, as long as they are ego waffles (lemme roll my eyes) they looked amazing here but our 5 year old did not care lol. He loved his pancakes once brought out :) such a cute place and I really wanna come back during the holidays.

My recent birthday at Barney's was TERRIFIC! Everyone's food was beautiful, delicious and fresh. People traveled in from all over the country to celebrate with me and were all blown away by the restaurant. I will be back for sure! Thank you Barney's for making my special day that much better!

This is a fabulous restaurant and I never complained before about anything except for last night I ordered a dish from the specials and it was fettuccine with lobster meat in a carbonara sauce with an egg, which was ok but I was very surprised they charged $89.00 for it, the lobster meat was ok maybe a little over cooked along with the egg and the portion was just a bit small. I have been to many restaurants in the area and was disappointed on the price for that special I truly was disappointed and feel like they should definitely have the price of the specials somewhere so you can see if you want to spend $89.00 for a bowl of pasta and some lobster meat. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are great and the food is usually very good but for that price and it being a special it truly should be a special.

Upon showing up ON TIME for our Valentines dinner reservation, the manager Cathy told us that we would be seated in a barn that was adjacent to the main restaurant/dining area I did vocalize my concerns about this & Cathy readily told me that I should be thankful because it's a lovely room & that is where they have all of their private parties due to the fact that there was a fireplace & a beyond cozy environment. Well that could not be further from the truth. The room was void of ambiance, extremely hot (in fact I was told that the people that were placed at our table got up & left the minute they entered the room), service was non existent waiting well over 15 minutes to get our drinks, bread, butter etc,. In addition when our dinner's arrived all the food was cold. The short rib entree was not even a meal the portion it was that of an hors d'ourve amount. My fiancé had to return his coffee because it was burnt & undrinkable ! End result, one of the worst Valentine's Day experience ever........ all for $600.00

The restaurant is cozy, with a nice warm fireplace going. Food and ambiance is excellent. My wife had the duck, which she thought was one of the best she's had. I had prime rib special going Thursdays in February. For the price (1/2) it was a great deal and a very good piece of beef. My one advice to people, though, is don't expect a slice of prime rib right off a standing roast. I suspect this was sous vide to just below rare and when ready to serve, cut and quickly lightly grilled over high heat to bring to temperature (MR for me), with some extra flavor from the sear. However, you have to cut the meat to see that it's cooked correctly (it was perfect). Almost a rib eye steak, but still had the extremely tender nature of prime rib, and the sear outside was not near as much as had this been cooked as a steak from scratch (no char). I was surprised, but once I tasted it had no complaints. I didn't see anyone else in the dining room sending back either (and a lot of people had it). Poached pear dessert was very good as well. We will go back.

Worst service I've ever received. Waited 2 hours and only a half ass apology from the waiter, no comp. Prix fixe menu was sneaky with up-charges. Very small seating area and very loud. Don't waste your time!!!!

Such a refined, yet cozy atmosphere with a crackling fireplace. It's like having dinner in your wealthy aunt's cozy home. Gold coast understated perfection. Delicious salad. The best crème brûlée I've ever had. They are doing some kind of crème brûlée magic in the kitchen! Clams Oreganata, imho, were too large for my liking and could use a bit of top crisping under the broiler. Overall, it is such a treat to dine here. Stellar service, and an ace fireplace stoker ;)

One of the best restaurants on Long Island. The food, service and atmosphere is always top notch. Owners / hosts Michael and Christina make sure their guests receive first class treatment. Bravo!

Food was excellent. Tuna tartar and Mahi Mahi and husbands duck was great. We had many different people ask us about what we wanted for meal and drinks. We were not sure who our waiter was. Then, when it was time for dessert we were asked by a third person if we wanted to hear the specials. It felt disjointed. It felt like staff didn't know exactly who was taking care of our table. We felt it was a little overpriced.

This ambiance of this restaurant is immaculate. Was there on a snowy winter night, they had the fire going and it was decorated for a cozy winter dinner. The prices are totally extreme so it is a special occasion type of meal. The service was great though we had 3 different wait staff throughout the night, unsure of which was infact ours. Also enjoyed a great cucumber martini with dinner. The food was yummy and overall we enjoyed Barney's!

Disappointing New Year's Eve experience. Food was subpar. Not even hot. Served room temperature. 3 basic courses was $95 pp. Little value and no special menu. Not even a cocktail included. Dessert was 4 bites. Lackluster all around. Seems like a locals place and if they don't know you, they don't care to please you. This was a $600 waste. Server seemed overwhelmed. Go to a steakhouse at this price point.

Our magical Christmas Eve tradition continues! Incredible food (lamb chops!), fabulous cocktails in the coziest, straight out of a novel, charming, sophisticated-country setting. We love Barney's!

Barney's has always been on my list. They have a nice option for weekday PreFixe special that added some value. Love the ambiance. The duck, a specialty they are known for....was simply top notch.

Service was good, atmosphere was good but the food sucks. 19 bucks for the worse burger I’ve ever had. Diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce in a burger? Huh? All the toppings just fell out, patty was skinny and not cooked through and the fries were cheap as cheap can be. Server was nice, beer was cold but I will not eat here again until they fix the kitchen. 19 bucks? Damn, I know I got bacon but WTAF? If you’re going to charge like that at least don’t be so lazy that you can’t slice tomatoes and onions.

We had a delicious meal last night at Barney's. We started with the Caesar salad and French onion soup both were very good. Mian course was the fabulous duck and short ribs. For dessert pear tart. We sat in the room with the fireplace. Wonderful food, service, and ambiance. We very highly recommend it.
