So there was a hair right in the middle on top of my salad dressing. How they don't look before serving? Wear hair caps, take precautions to notice these things that can happen. I lost my appetite, Manger never came over to apologize and a a I just didn't feel confidant eating anything at that point but ordered meals already. Only when I got the Check the waiter apologized, how convenient. You take the time to go out to eat thinking experience spills be good but simply disappointed and disgusted!

Quick review. Food was good. Tricolor salad was excellent. Service was terrible. Very slow to take orders. Had to ask multiple times to refill water glass. Overall experience was good. Noise level was very loud and found it difficult to hear the person sitting across from me.

I have posted less-than-5-star reviews of the Brass Rail in recent months, primarily because the bar and the clientele had taken a dive. The last 2 times we were here, clearly they have taken efforts to improve the bar service and drink quality. Lindsay is a fantastic Add, bringing Value-Add over the horrific mess the bar here had become. The improvement you’ve made in the bar service and quality is noticed. I thank you. It was horrific for awhile there, but tonight (and last time) was fantastic.

The Brass Rail is an outstanding spot on Long Island's North Shore for a relaxing meal with friends. When we visited the restaurant with a party of six on a recent Tuesday evening our entrees all were delicious. The grilled filet of branzino special in particular was superb, as was the skirt steak entree. You simply cannot go wrong at The Brass Rail!

My first time visit to this restaurant accompanied by friends who have eaten here before. Our waitress Christine was absolutely fabulous and a prime example of a superior server. Great personality. Catered to us but not overwhelming us. Food was great..I had French Onion soup with extra cheese and served hot, exactly as I had asked for. The pasta Bolognese was a consideration for dinner but there were so many good choices to pick from. Christine saw we wanted the pasta but were considering other options. She dropped a bowl at the table for the four of us to taste. It was wonderful. The fish offerings sounded really good and nicely prepared, but I ended up with skirt steak which was served with truffle potatoes and asparagus. Cooked to perfection. My husband had a steak with chopped salad and reported everything was good. For dessert we had homemade ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauce served with fresh homemade whipped cream. The dining experience was terrific from beginning to end. Will definitely return and for sure ask for Christine.
