We have absolutely loved this gem for many years! Food, pricing and atmosphere are top-notch! Karen, Sophia and the restaurant will be incredibly missed by all.

The food was incredible. They didn't overfill your plate, they give you just enough. I had the goulash of the day. It was amazing and reminded me of my grandmothers cooking!

Good food. Recommend the Liptauer spread and tomato cucumber red onion and feta salad. The Artichoke Lemon spread lacked flavor but still edible. Roast pork was very tender and Wiener schnitzel was good. Waitress was very pleasant and responsive. Definitely coming back to try more things on menu!

Our server really MISLED us about the pricing of the meal despite the food being okay.

The server presented that the “chef’s table” special would save money over ordering a la carte.

However, the “chef’s table” special is NOT a special at all but a quick way to order a ton of the a la carte dishes at once. It does NOT save you any money.

We were a large group of 7 people who ordered the special and expected to have a sizable family style meal that was advertised as saving money instead of ordering individual entrees per person.

Once the food came out, we were surprised by how tiny the portions were for a family style meal. As more dishes came out, it became clear that this whole “special” did not make sense.

At the end of the meal, we ended up paying more for a bunch of dishes we didn’t necessarily need and were still hungry. It was not meant for a family or large group.

We asked our server if a party of 2 would receive the same amount of food, and she confirmed “yes”. So this special REALLY doesn’t make sense.

We told our server that we were still hungry and confused by the special. She then offered to provide more food for what seemed like an apology after speaking with the kitchen.

We then ordered two more entrees only to find out that we would then BE CHARGED for the additional entrees. We asked our server to help clarify why we were being charged and she said she had no choice but to do so.

Everything about the special and the service was very misleading for what was decent Austrian food in a part of NY that lacks diversity of cuisine. An unfortunate experience.

I came here for dinner with my wife. We had the bread basket, a few of the spreads, the schnitzel, and a wurst. Everything was pretty good. The schnitzel was respectable and the bauerwurst was excellent

We stopped for lunch with some friends and had a lovely experience. Food was delicious, service was excellent and the view lovely. Carly is an excellent waitress!! We shared a delicious spread and took home some delicious strudel. The strudel was freshly baked and still warm. Cannot wait to go back.

We loved this place. The food was delicious, and my wife was transported back to the comfort of her grandmothers cooking and Austro-Hungarian roots. The view was beautiful as the sun was going down across the lake.

We went as a family of Five with a 7:30 pm reservation. We were seated at 7:25. Ironically the best tables outside were given to those without reservations; ( I asked) We were told that we must put our bread and spreads order alone with our main meal order in at the same time due to the time ( close at 9?) why did they take a reservation at 7:30? Anyways we did food and was not delivered to the table until 8:40. Food is great . But they no doubt wanted us to hurry up. No extra service and we got our desserts to go. Spent $240 and we are extremely disappointed with the service. Desserts were bagged and we left. We go to eat our desserts and we were given the wrong dessert. We were given bread pudding in place of chocolate cake so one of us did not have dessert. Very frustrating. So if you are visiting my suggestion would be an early reservation be specific on the table you would like so they don’t give you whatever’s left. You cannot go wrong with the food for sure… it has always been great but unfortunately the owner and family are just rude and are not interested in giving you a great experience. Unfortunately this may have been the last time going here for me.What a shame

Amazing Eastern European food, wine, and ambiance outdoors.

We shared three dishes and enjoyed them all, as well as the Austrian dessert we got. The wine is well priced and amazing! Highly recommend!

Kid-friendliness: A 1.5 yo had a great time on the patio and staff was very friendly.

It is always a joy to go to Dano's. The food and drinks are delicious. In the summertime, we eat outside and watch the sunset. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend going to Dano's.

Excellent food, an unusual Heuriger variety of spreads from Austria, plus excellent fish, sausages, and other side dishes that are traditionally Austrian & German. Their desserts are also always fresh and flavorful and delicious. Portions are always generous resulting in a carry away after a filling and satisfying. Overall I’ve eaten at Dano’s over 20 times across a decade and never been anything but extremely satisfied

Parking: Always easy to park and access the restaurant even for disabled people like me

Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel parking lot and walkway easy to navigate. Handicap friendly bathrooms. Usually ample seating on an upper level. Lower level not easily accessed however.

Everything was wonderful, except the service. Server was extremely slow. Watched other tables with different servers being served while we just waited and waited.

Parking: Unmarked, small gravel lot. People taking up two spaces at once.
