Idol Ridge Winery & Alder Creek Distillery

Our visit to Idol Ridge was top notch. They welcomed our group of 30 and provided us with a great tasting experience. We loved the choices with our tasting and our group wasn't forced to try wines that were not their preference. The store was an added bonus and our group really shopped.
Our only constructive complaint is the worker that seemed to be the main point person, she also settled our bill for our group and worked the register at check-out was not personable. I felt like I was bothering her every time I asked her a question. The rest of the workers were very friendly and kind, but she was not welcoming.
Thank you Idol Ridge for being great to work with. We'll be back!

Idol Ridge has one of the best atmospheres, wine and staff on Seneca Lake. The view is out of this world and inside of the building is absolutely amazing. I cannot speak for the spirits but the wines were so good that we had to visit twice. If you have any questions about wine, ask for Nick and he will definitely take care of you. They add their own fudge and some of that amazing cheeky monkey dipping sauce in their flights. You will definitely be wanting some of each for the ride home. Cannot wait to come back.

Came to this winery on a wine tour. Instantly greeted by an extremely rude woman at the front desk. Says we can’t have flights served to us even though not all of us were drinking. Then all of a sudden when we mention only 4 of us planned to drink it was “oh well maybe if the bars open”. My husband and I were very interested in the boozy root beer floats but once this happened we took our business elsewhere. Ended up finding out this woman is actually “management”, yikes. Hope that can be figured out because this is actually a beautiful place and had lots of cool gifts to buy.

Lots of nice house hold décor to purchase. Some good and very interesting wine. Our wine tasting host, Nick, is a wonderful young gentleman, native to the area and very knowledgeable on both it and its wine. Really enjoyed our time chatting with him and he gave us a wonderful list of recommendations that made our day of wine tasting very memorable.

Nick was our server for wine and spirit testing. Very knowledgeable and costumer friendly. Highly recommend Buck and Bear wines. Thank you Nick for an awesome experience.
