Idol Ridge Winery & Alder Creek Distillery

This was my favorite spot. Sharon was amazing!!!! Loved the atmosphere, the wine, the shop and Sharon.

A great dog friendly tasting room on the Seneca wine trail. Nice views and comfortable seating outside. The sparkling wine and fudge were great.

Wow, and more. Sharon was the best tasting assistant ever. She really understood my palate. I walked out buying more than I planned, not because she’s a good sales person, but because she really got what I was looking for! A must stop winery!

You can enjoy a glass of wine or glass of bourbon on the terrace, all while taking in the breath taking view... The staff was very knowledgeable.

Idol ridge has a very nice overlook to Seneca Lake and a fair lineup of wines and spirits. They used to provide a small bag with wine paired snacks, which IMO enhances the experience greatly.

Service was not friendly. We were confused by the menu and accidentally ordered the wrong flights. When we politely asked to replace them, the lady helping us was not accommodating and charged us for everything even though we didn’t drink them. When the wine tastings came, they were tiny pours. Overall a bad experience and would not recommend.

We did both wine and spirit tastings here. What sets this place apart from its neighboring wineries / distilleries/ etc is their gift shop. It’s quite large with lots of cute things organized and staged nicely. Recommend their homemade chocolate peanut butter fudge.

Dont waste your time. We walked up to the tasting counter with only two other couples there. Waited 4 minutes to be greeted or served before we gave up and left. Clerk was too busy chatting (was NOT talking about wine!) to be bothered with us!

Great spot for wine tasting as well as mimosa and cocktail flights. They come with a fudge sample and tomato oil. The mimosa flights were really good. The fudge is super creamy and my all time favorite cheeky monkey tomato oil with a few crackers. There's also a great view of the lake.

Oh my the fudge! Excellent service! Shout out to the friendly bartender whose husband commutes for his job. She went above and beyond to make our stop enjoyable. She was a super conversationalist! The gift shop had some unique items as well. Do stop here on your wine tour.

We had a fantastic tasting experience today. So many options. The facility and location are beautiful! And Nick was so great to us. You can really tell he loves his job and knows his stuff!

Nick was knowledgeable and took his time to educate. Great job Nick. 2018 Chardonnay is fabulous. Bought 2 bottles!
