We had such a wonderful experience at Shalestone! It’s a small, family-owned business, and you can feel the love and care they put into everything—from the wine to the hospitality and the beautiful woodworking on display throughout the tasting room. Liana and Sarah led our tasting and were absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, funny, and kind.
The setting was laid-back and welcoming, not at all pretentious—just good people sharing great wine!! If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

We stopped and were told to come back at the half hour. We texted( that’s their method of reservation) also to make sure we could get back in. We were told to come in. We came back within 10 minutes of texting, and they wouldn’t let us in even though we had been told verbally and by texting we would have a reservation. The woman was not kind to boot. Don’t waste your time. There are plenty of great wineries close by. I recommend Silver Springs. They have excellent reds!

Incredible wine, but not an incredible experience. Compared to our other experiences at wineries in the finger lakes we were very thrown off. We were paired with a server who did not even make any eye contact upon entering the winery, as well as no explanations upon pouring each wine for the tasting. It felt like he did not want to be there or care to serve the customers at all. Fortunately, the woman working was extremely friendly, and asked us questions about who we were, along with giving us a description about each wine and fully answering our questions. Again, we absolutely loved the wine but were disappointed In the experience and customer service.

Finally stopped here this weekend and SO glad that we did. The wines were amazing! Each red we tried was wonderful and enjoyed the blends as well. Service was great also! We will definitely be back.

They might have good wines but we wouldn’t know as my party of 3 people were basically denied service and given an eye roll by the blonde female server in the tasting room. If you don’t want to serve the public, don’t have a tasting room.
