I've been ordering from this Carvel for two years, and on numerous occasions, my Uber Eats order has been placed incorrectly. First and foremost, the Uber Eats menu does not provide options for selecting specific ice cream flavors—they only offer a notes section. However, no matter how detailed my notes are, they are never followed.
To avoid mistakes, I always call the store after placing my order to confirm the details. While there have been times when the order was correctly prepared, the last few times have been a complete disaster. I was even told to stop calling and to just write my requests in the notes—yet, despite following their instructions, my orders still arrived incorrect.
Most recently, I placed an Uber Eats order, called the store to confirm, and was assured they had everything right. When the order arrived, it was wrong. I reordered, making my notes even more specific, and tried calling the store again—this time, they stopped answering. When the second order arrived, it was also incorrect. Frustrated, I drove to the store with four incorrect ice creams in hand to show them the mistakes. Even while making my replacements in front of me, they still got the flavors and toppings wrong, requiring me to correct them multiple times.
As someone who has worked in retail for most of my life, I understand that mistakes happen. However, businesses need to ensure they have the right staff in place to handle customer service and multitasking. This is a very busy location, yet on multiple occasions, I’ve seen only one employee handling the front counter, Uber Eats orders, and deliveries all at once.
This ongoing issue has become incredibly frustrating. I truly enjoy Carvel and would love to continue ordering from this location, but if this problem persists, I’ll be forced to take my business elsewhere. To make matters worse, trying to get a refund from Uber Eats after these mistakes has been a nightmare. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves their service.

I purchased the hard ice cream scoops and I’ve never tasted ice cream of such poor quality. I’ve had Carvel throughout my lifetime and this did not taste like Carvel. One of the flavors I couldn’t even eat. It tasted so artificial I couldn’t stomach it. I actually stopped at another Carvel to sample the same flavor. Tasted like night and day. Not sure what they are serving up here but it was not good and it did not taste like Carvel. Would never go back.

We stopped on the way to the beach, and we’re highly disappointed. Masks were required but we didn’t have them on us because we were heading to the beach and didn’t plan on stopping anywhere, so I popped my head in the door and asked if they had a mask that I could wear so I could come in. The employee physically shooed me away with his hand and told me to leave, without even answering my question. I didn’t even enter the building so there was no reason to be so rude, I simply asked if they had a mask so I could come in. We didn’t get any ice cream, & even if I had my mask on me I wouldn’t buy ice cream from them because they’re rude & don’t deserve my business. I can’t speak for the ice cream but can speak for the culture of the environment and the behavior for the employees.
Great addition to the west end Carvel is consistently good. Got a small soft serve vanilla cone which looked more like a large and it was as good as anticipated.
