Blacksmiths Breads was one of the breakfast places on my list.. and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was spot-on and the croissant was perfectly soft, buttery, and fresh. Everything hit the mark. I’ll definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch, quick breakfast spot. 10/10!”

“Awesome (Chicken) Katsu Curry. Got it while visiting a friend and already planning on getting it again next time I’m in town. Super friendly staff. Got it to go and they had the chicken, rice, and curry all organized and separated so it didn’t get mushy in transport. A great sign that they take pride in the quality of their food.”

“I come here often with my kids, the staff are super attentive and make us feel really welcome. They’re always very patient with our list of alterations on the order, nothing is a problem. We went yesterday and said we were hungry so the food came pretty quick. Everything was delicious. Such a great spot for the family!”

“I can't say enough good things about JR - the front staff (Joy, Yoyo, Kiko) are amazing, and Jimmy is a great host to everyone that comes in. I really appreciate that they'll give me versions of the food with no breading or cornstarch, and customize dishes in other ways for dietary needs. The #17 Schezwan Chicken on the specials menu is the best in New York, hands down. This place is a vibe and a real asset to the LB scene.”

“Greek Cove Merrick’s lunch special is incredible. Ate the warm pita in the car on the way home! Grilled chicken with a salad and rice. One huge chicken cutlet over a generous portion of delicious rice and a tasty Greek salad- with a grape leaf and feta! I am a very picky eater but this chix was seasoned beautifully, so that if garlic, onion or rosemary(my triple threat) was used, it all blended together perfectly so that even I could not pick out the offensive spice. Amazingly, the yogurt sauce is also tasty( I hate yogurt sauce;usually throw it away). Forgot to tell them not to give it to me, so as not to waste it, but I’m glad I forgot! All of this, and a lot of smiling happy employees, for $12.99 cash. Wowza.”

Open late; which is always great, but remember that it's in the West End of Long Beach, which has more locations serving booze into the wee hours than Burning Man, and so things can get dicey down on Beech Street after 10 pm. But the Chopped Cheese is worth it.”

Really impressed with the food and server, Elmer. Started off with the pear salad. Really fresh and the gorgonzola really kicked that salad into a great starter.
My wife had the clams with spaghetti, she really liked it, and I had the gnocchi with chicken cutlet, which really rocked it. So fresh, chicken was crisp and not greasy at all. Excellent dish, really fair pricing.
Couldn't resist the tartufo with expresso, top shelf.

All in all, really excellent, well priced food. Will definitely be coming back. This place is not only a take out place, but for a very fair priced dinner, served by nice people, in a decent dining room. Check it out”

“We walked in to the Allegria always such a pretty place. The soccer matches were going on so the bar area was very crowded. The restaurant was moderately busy. Our waitress Veronica was sensational very helpful and accommodating. The food was good, only negative was the poor jalapeño margarita. We ordered the sushi as an appetiser and got it after the meal but the waitress bought us a round of drinks to make up for the long wait. We will go back and give it another shot. ”

“I got the chicken fajitas. I liked their flavor. The serving size was excellent. The server never checked on us once we got our food. We had to get up and ask for the check. The restaurant was empty at the time.”
