The hot pastrami, crisp pickles, generous coleslaw, and yummy onion rings are the absolute best !! An authentic quality deli that is a real gem !!”

“I enjoyed this restaurant and experience and would 100% go back. The polenta fries were yummy but very salty and the arugula salad was also really good (maybe toast the pine nuts for future?). The eggplant parm was okay and my friend said it may have been lacking something. I had the clam pizza and it was very good! I love clam pizza and this is up there on the list. My friend ordered the $50ish steak and while it was good, there was too much inedible fat on it (hence the 3 rating on food). The potatoes and onions that came with it were apparently delicious!”

Got it to go and they had the chicken, rice, and curry all organized and separated so it didn’t get mushy in transport. A great sign that they take pride in the quality of their food.”

“I can't say enough good things about JR - the front staff (Joy, Yoyo, Kiko) are amazing, and Jimmy is a great host to everyone that comes in. I really appreciate that they'll give me versions of the food with no breading or cornstarch, and customize dishes in other ways for dietary needs. The #17 Schezwan Chicken on the specials menu is the best in New York, hands down. This place is a vibe and a real asset to the LB scene.”

One huge chicken cutlet over a generous portion of delicious rice and a tasty Greek salad- with a grape leaf and feta! I am a very picky eater but this chix was seasoned beautifully, so that if garlic, onion or rosemary(my triple threat) was used, it all blended together perfectly so that even I could not pick out the offensive spice. Amazingly, the yogurt sauce is also tasty( I hate yogurt sauce;usually throw it away). Forgot to tell them not to give it to me, so as not to waste it, but I’m glad I forgot! All of this, and a lot of smiling happy employees, for $12.99 cash. Wowza.”

I had the banana & strawberry crepe. My friend is gluten free and had the Ferrero Rocher . They were both so delicious! They also had almond milk and oat milk which was amazing . I will absolutely be back , and will try the savory crepes next time . If you’re in Long Beach it’s a must try !”

“The hot Chopped Cheese hoagie is very, very good. The best that I have had on Long Island. Staff are kind and friendly. Open late; which is always great, but remember that it's in the West End of Long Beach, which has more locations serving booze into the wee hours than Burning Man, and so things can get dicey down on Beech Street after 10 pm. But the Chopped Cheese is worth it.”

Really impressed with the food and server, Elmer. Started off with the pear salad. Really fresh and the gorgonzola really kicked that salad into a great starter.
My wife had the clams with spaghetti, she really liked it, and I had the gnocchi with chicken cutlet, which really rocked it. So fresh, chicken was crisp and not greasy at all. Excellent dish, really fair pricing.
Couldn't resist the tartufo with expresso, top shelf.

All in all, really excellent, well priced food. Will definitely be coming back. This place is not only a take out place, but for a very fair priced dinner, served by nice people, in a decent dining room. Check it out”

Server was friendly and attentive, frequently checking in, but was otherwise lacking in experience and knowledge of the menu. We had an enjoyable experience and the atmosphere is nice, but would be even better if someone could figure out the acoustics in that place to tamp down the echo chamber of conversation and music that is noticeable as soon as you set foot in the Allegria.”

It’s also a great place to wind down after work. I’ll often stop in to finish up a few emails or wrap up the day, and it’s just as welcoming when my wife and kids come along to hang out for a bit.”
