“We visited this restaurant for dinner during a holiday weekend and left feeling somewhat disappointed. The location was convenient, with plenty of parking available both on the street and in a nearby lot. Inside, the restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The bar area looked great, and the small stage added some character to the space.

The staff was polite and friendly when we arrived, but the service lacked attention throughout the meal. Our table was rarely checked on, and our water glasses remained empty for most of the evening without anyone offering refills. Since the restaurant was relatively quiet at the time, it didn't seem like a result of being understaffed or overly busy.

As for the food, it was average at best. I ordered the seafood paella, but it was lacking the rich flavors I expected. More concerning was finding small pieces of broken clam shell mixed into the rice, which made me cautious with every bite. While mistakes can happen, it definitely affected the dining experience. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but both the food and service fell short of expectations during this visit.“

“I picked up food here for the first time and Auntie was so incredibly welcoming. She was happy to let me sample a handful of the dishes they were serving, all of which were delicious.

The oxtail here is just phenomenal. The depth of flavor of the gravy was such a standout. My rice and peas were covered in it and I wish I had more!

The jerk chicken was incredibly tender and the sweet and spicy sauces were a great compliment.

The fresh pine ginger drink is a must have and the homemade coco bread was pillowy soft.

The chef is an absolute pro here when it comes to salinity. The seasoning was spot on for every entree without any lingering saltiness.“

My wife and I had the pork buns, fried shrimp rings and the tom yum fried rice with Chinese sausage and crab. I highly recommend all 3 but if you’re in for 1 plate, do the fried rice. “We had a wonderful experience at Peter's Clam Bar. The food was excellent, everything we ordered was delicious, and we really enjoyed both the location and the beautiful waterfront views. Unfortunately, because of the rain, the tables right by the water weren't available, but that didn't take away from our overall experience.
The only issue we had was that the pasta for our child was served on an extremely hot plate, and the server didn't warn us. As a result, our child accidentally burned their hand. I would highly recommend reminding the staff to warn guests when plates are very hot, especially when serving children.
Other than that, everything was great. We would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to visit again.“

I ordered takeout tonight for six people in my extended family and served it family style, and everyone was raving about the food. We ordered Scallops Oreganato, Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat, Chicken Francese, Zuppe di Clams White Sauces and a few appetizers and it was all superbly prepared. “We dined at the Majors Restaurant in East Meadow. Dinner was delicious. I have no complaints about that. Here is my issue. Little, but it’s the principle. My husband ordered a cup of coffee after our $158 Dinner. The coffee came and when he put milk in it, I noticed it was really dark. I tasted it. WOW it was burnt, old & muddy. I called the waiter over and asked for a new brewed cup of coffee. He came back with a cup from the SAME pot. Normally I would of just moved on & left it. But when the bill came we were charged $3.50. For 1 cup of burnt coffee? Sorry it was the principle. If you are going to charge your clients $3.50 for a cup of coffee, invest in a Keurig where every cup is fresh. You make a great margin per cup?“

“I normally order only mango sticky rice from this restaurant but today I decided to try an actual meal. I was in the mood for some beef so I ordered the beef salad and some tom yam noodle soup with shrimp. Let me tell you The beef salad was so good, it was very refreshing and delicious. I would’ve loved just a little bit of spice in it but otherwise it was a 10 in my opinion. The Tom yam noodle soup with shrimp was so delightful. The broth was so savory and light, the add of the bok choy and enoki mushrooms were so good. My boyfriend got the lychee juice and the general taksin chicken. Both were very good my only critique is that the chicken didn’t come with rice on the side. I’m not sure if it was missing or if it just doesn’t come with it, I think for that meal specifically rice should automatically come with it.
I will definitely order more food from here.“
