I had a reservation for 5 people on a Monday evening in early November, and when we got there found out that the restaurant was going to close that day but opened up just to serve us rather than cancel. I was a little skeptical that the owner could be host, wait staff, bus staff, and cook and still get us in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time, but boy were we all impressed! The dinner went off without a hitch, we had wonderful food served up in a timely fashion, some complimentary hot apple cider on the cold evening and even some free desserts to taste in honor of the birthday of one of our party! Fantastic customer service under trying conditions, which we really appreciated, and everyone swore to come back another time! Based on the prices you might expect an upscale environment, but while it was comfortable it was pretty bare-bones inside.

It was our first time here and I'm glad we went! Everything was great. Our drinks, an Aperol Sprtiz and a pink lady were tasty. We had the beet salad and honey nut squash croquettes for appetizers, and the red wine braised waygu brisket for dinner. I would recommend all of them. There were delicious! We finished it off with pumpkin cake and a brownie sundae! The service was great also. We will definitely be back!

The owner comes to question me?? This is a first time! I went there two weeks ago. And my girlfriend make the payment. Please see the figure for dish.Here is the comments:The food there is just okay. The dish impressed me the most is the a dish with shrimp which has an interesting flavor (see the figure). They have a passionate waiter who is very considerate. The atmosphere there is great too.

New to the area, great restaurant if you do not take advantage of the outstanding food and suggestions by the staff. Brought my brother out here and nothing less than 100 stars. Huge shout out to Joey and Taki working late on a Saturday with nothing but a smile on their faces. Personable, professional, knowledgeable and patient with you. Worth a trip without a doubt everyday new foods. serious compliments to the owner, right by and chef unbelievable food and specials. Great night out!

Have been to 5 Ocean twice before, food was wonderful. Unfortunately , this experience was a big disappointment. The octopus appetizer was swimming in vinegarette. The seared tuna entree was swimming in coconut sauce. Our server was very nice but our meal felt rushed.

Just has dinner at Five Ocean. Two previous visits, food was excellent.Tonight the food was very flavorful but the octopus appetizer was undercooked and swimming in dressing . Main course, seared tuna also swimming in coconut sauce.Would suggest that anyone ordering these plates , ask for dressing or sauce on the side.The service was very excellent, but our meal was a bit rushed.I'll try again, food good enough to try once more.

Great location but if you're looking for an ocean view, you won't find it here. You're tucked in behind the dunes. The vibe is still cool and beachy. Nice outdoor patio. Kind of tight but still a good vibe. The food is decent. What took off stars for me is the $5 can of soda. The food being pricey is understandable considering its close proximity to the beach but $5 for a soda that doesn't even have complimentary refills? Seems a bit extreme.

A nice little restaurant right on the beach in Long Beach .The menu is small but there's something for everyone .The food is fresh and delicious and the service is very good .You should check it
Wanted to have lunch outside so we chose 5 Ocean. The food was good, had a Tuna Taco which was delicious just would have preferred a crispy taco shell, but that's my taste, the beet salad and Hamburger was also good. The portions were perfect, Ernesto the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. We will certainly return.
It's an Ok restaurant...way overpriced for the food I thought. Descent ambiance. I Would not go back. Once is enough since there was nothing really special about it to draw me back.

Can't beat the location.I had the lobster roll and it was delicious! Couldn't be happier with the big chunks of meat.I would, however, skip the upgrade to truffle fries next time

Nice location! Located at the beginning of the Long Beach boardwalk. The Resturant has limited seating capacity. The food is exceptional but if you are salt conscious make sure to ask for no added salt. Our waitress Jamie (twice this is our second visit) was exceptional. Her recommendations were perfect. Jamie is an exceptional server with an amazing memory. The food is plentiful and the drinks are mixed to perfection. The prices are elevated, for example average fish dish is $40 + and mixed drink are $20

Small hidden Gem right on the beach ! My food and drinks were absolutely delicious ! Steps away from the sand & a beautiful view while dining. Bartender and cook both 10/10 !
