The sushi I tried wasn't bad but it was a bit dry and flavorless. Also, the slim Asian girl at the counter who took my order during 4th of July was very rude and just slammed down my receipt with a pen on top of a dirty menu that I had to sign. The whole restaurant needs an attitude adjustment and new, clean menus because the current menus would make a health inspector nauseous. The same female server from the front counter treated me like my hands were dirty or something but it's odd that she didn't mind touching the Caucasian couple's hand. I'm Native American Indian by the way, not a savage who is filthy! I'm paying way too much for sushi to be mistreated as a customer! I will never come back here again! I will go get my sushi elsewhere. They have lost a customer for life. They couldn't pay me a million dollars to eat here again! Also, the server just left my food out on a random table, which was risky because anyone could have came in and stole my order, giving a potential thief access to free food that I paid for! What a horrible place!

Very enjoyable sushi restaurant. I went here for a good dinner and was able to try a good spread of sushi for a reasonable cost.We started with the pork gyoza, which was nice and pan-fried with a side of the classic ginger sauce. For rolls, we tried the Philly roll, atlantic beach roll, pink panther roll, and million dollar roll. All fresh and tasty, but nothing really stood out above the rest.I would recommend this place for some good choices of sushi.

Parking: Parking is across the street in the lot.

Best sushi in Long Beach! Whether you're dining in or taking out Himawari will satisfy at every point. Quality ingredients are used throughout each of their menu items. Ownership is present and amicable with every familiar face he sees. The staff is extremely hard working and on top of their responsibilities even on the busiest of nights.

do not eat hereprolly has a questionable health ratingi found a knob, a metal knob, like a the knob of an oven !!!, IN MY UDON. IT WAS CAKED IN BLACK AND YELLOW GREASE AND GOD KNOWS WHAT. SO UNSANITARY. if you get diarrhea from here, don't be surprised. ppl could get sick eating here!! and the restaurant only gave us 50% off our tab PLSSSS. so grossed out and horrified. could never eat chicken udon ever again.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and they took my friend’s Gluten allergy VERY seriously. Server was very knowledgeable and saved her from accidentally ordering the wrong thing.

Dietary restrictions: Had gluten free options.

We took take out last night. The servers were polite. The food, besides the diamond roll which was very good, was lame in every way. I know that when you order a spicy roll you take a bit of risk with a new place. The spicy mayo can mask a flavor, so a balance between the quantity of fish and the quantity of mayo is paramount. In this case, we ordered yellow tail, tuna and salmon. ???‍♀️Neither of us could tell which one was what. Or what did we eat. Never mind the roll size was small and petty. But all three rolls could’ve been the same fish because it was smothered in mayo in the mushiest rolls we’ve ever had. They didn’t look good and they didn’t taste good. Yikes! ?With all that mayo, dinner left us hungry and wanting more food. I had hoped for a basic, decent Japanese restaurant. But no love in this kitchen. Too bad, I wanted to like it!The restaurant itself was dark, busy, and had a lingering smell of either fish, nail polish or a combination of both. NOT a date place!

It’s a shame first I asked for hot tea was told the tea machine broken , asked for a PuPu platter appetizer waitress told me she had to check with the kitchen that don’t always serve it. I was told they’ll do it today , it showed up to table with substitute items and I was told they were out boneless ribs and beef, how ridiculous they made us boneless ribs when brought to managers attention and had to accept chicken skewers instead of the beef as stated on menu. The food entrees and miso soup and salads were tasty. Portions appropriate

Surely the best sushi option in the area. The sushi combo platter was very fresh and well done. The lunch boxes were OK, nothing amazing but work well done. We arrived when they opened for service and the waitress were very fast and we had a great time.Very attentive to the kid with us too, have us nice cup for him to drink safely. We would surely come back if we're in the area.
