Have taken out from here before, but never ate in the dining room. Really impressed with the food and server, Elmer. Started off with the pear salad. Really fresh and the gorgonzola really kicked that salad into a great starter. My wife had the clams with spaghetti, she really liked it, and I had the gnocchi with chicken cutlet, which really rocked it. So fresh, chicken was crisp and not greasy at all. Excellent dish, really fair pricing. Couldn't resist the tartufo with expresso, top shelf.
All in all, really excellent, well priced food. Will definitely be coming back. This place is not only a take out place, but for a very fair priced dinner, served by nice people, in a decent dining room. Check it out

I attended this restaurant with my brother and his friend's family. They have a good selection of Italian dishes. I ordered Risotto al Funghi, while my brother ordered Chicken Francaise. And our friend's family ordered some pasta dishes and something off the kids menu for their son. We also received a basket of warm bread and butter as a starter appetizer. Everyone was quite satisfied with their meals, and I really enjoyed the risotto

A long-time client and friend and I visited Taste of Italy, Long Beach, for the first time in the Summer of 2024, last year. We were so happy with the food, the service and the prices we happily returned, this year. The service was even better on Monday, August 11, 2025, the food even more delicious, and still one of the BEST cappuccinos I have ever savored. We look forward to returning next year.

First time experience here ordered penne a la vodka received rigatoni a la vodka. Almost no vodka sauce. the grilled chicken tastes like it was just placed on top of the pasta and wasn’t cooked in the sauce. This was ridiculous for $25.

i love la bottega & have never been to this location before. i ordered a panini over the phone. picked it up, opened it in my car & the chicken was soooo hard. inedible. I went back in & explained how old the chicken tasted & they were happy to make me a new one. after the man making the paninis searched through the chicken bowl he finally grabbed two pieces from the bottom, remade my panini & this was it. same thing. thin, dried out chicken. cheese wasn’t melted. just really messy & gross. I couldn’t even bite it. just really disappointed, it gives la bottega a bad name.
