Love this place! We dined here on 2 consecutive Saturday nights and found the food, service and drinks to be consistently delicious. Matt Hisiger, the Chef/Owner knows what he's doing and thats apparent as he roams the dinning room greeting old loyal patrons as well as new fans like us. Its a hard reservation but well worth the extra effort to get one. Highlights are the watermelon margaritas, skirt steak with mashed potato with broccoli rabe, The Angry lobster, salmon with spring pea risotto.Desserts were fabulous as well.

As per previous reviews, the hostess gave attitude. I politely asked for a table for one, rather than being like “I’m sorry, we’re booked for the night but I can offer you a seat at the bar” she said with a nasty tone “ThEy’Re aLl ReSeRvEd” I’m like … okay? Also she probably discriminated because I did have my beach gear on me (but I didn’t look ugly, I tried to clean up nicely as best as I could); so fellow warning to other beachgoers. What really made up for it were the two gentlemen working at the bar (cause that’s where I was seated). They were both equally nice and super attentive. The food was okay. The oysters? 1000000/10. Wish I got a dozen. They gave me bread and butter as well … but the butter was sweet? Couldn’t explain the flavor. It threw me off but I liked it. The pasta was hard and the sausage overpowered the lobster for it being labeled “The Angry Lobster Pasta”. Would definitely come back again (with reservations) to give it another chance.
The short rib was the best entree i’ve ever eaten in my entire life. No notes. 10/10. Literally incredible- i’m still dreaming about it. 🤤🤤

I want to start off saying that everyone here was super nice but my experience here just felt like a farce. I came here yesterday to take my boyfriend out for dinner for his birthday. The hostess sat us and asked what kind of water we wanted. While we perused the menu for a couple minutes our waitress came and asked what kind of water we wanted. We told her that the hostess took care of that. Then at one point the hostess and waitress were at our table taking orders from both of us. The hostess only took my bf's drink order, but not mine, and the waitress took our food order. The food came and was good. But all night long the hostess and waitress kept coming back and forth to our table doing the same things. It felt like an SNL Skit. We asked for to-go boxes for our leftovers, bc we both still had a significant amount left that we wanted to enjoy at home. And the hostess took our plates and said that she would pack them to go. I even approached the hostess at one point to ask if the staff could sing happy birthday to my bf and bring him a dessert. But the birthday surprise was ruined bc of staff miscommunication. The hostess apologized when she came out with my bf's dessert, while quickly and unenthusiastically singing Happy birthday, but she trailed off mid song, and gave us container of strawberries and whipped cream free of charge for the blunder. Then when we left and drove almost an hour back home to Suffolk...my leftovers, from my pretty pricey dinner, weren't even packed in our to-go bag.... our time here was just a mess.

LB social is a Long Beach GEM. Food is incredible, consistent and delicious. No pics because hungry. Go for the pork chop, short rib, skirt steak or scallops. Staff, amazing. Thoughtful, HOSPITABLE, just wonderful. Jen, the manager, is the BEST. Every time I walk through the door, Jen makes sure that we get drinks and seats as soon as she can (I have a difficult work schedule so reservations are impossible) no matter what time or day, Jen makes it happen. Tonight, they were packed and she made sure we had drinks because every seat was full! I’ve never felt so taken care of in a restaurant.

Exceptionally mid quality. There was grit or sand in the baked clams meaning it wasn’t cleaned properly. Prices are out of control and way too high for the quality you get. Just not good food at all. I could go on but overpriced mid food should speak for itself

Had reservations and arrived on time. They kept us waiting for 35 minutes. When we asked about the wait, the hostess got a nasty attitude and became snappy.

My fish was good, the social cookie was to die for, a better version of other desserts at certain places, amazing service even with the amount of people in the restaurant, and great music choices

Amazing main course with lots of options that are all great and specials that are actually special and desserts that are well done with a great presentation and variety, I would definitely go back whenever I go to NYC

We recently moved to the area and, with our daughter home briefly from medical school, decided to dine at LP Social. While the food showed promise—the lamb, chicken parm, and salmon were all enjoyable, and the overly salted risotto was graciously replaced—the overall experience was marred by shockingly poor service.
Drinks took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. Our server was largely absent throughout the evening, yet we observed her being attentive and friendly with other tables. It was hard not to question whether our treatment had something to do with the color of our skin—we are Indian—and that possibility left us feeling disheartened and unwelcome. We were surprised to be told that appetizers must be ordered with mains, and could not be placed separately—a rigid policy we’ve never encountered in similar establishments. When the chef, attending to another table’s complaint, noticed we hadn’t received any bread, he kindly offered some, which only further highlighted the neglect from our server. To make matters worse, we were seated near the front door, far from the main dining room—an uninviting and uncomfortable placement.
We value hospitality and always tip generously—usually 20–22%. This time, we left 15%, not out of spite, but genuine disappointment and pity for the experience.
Busy place on a Saturday, we were lucky to get seats at the bar and ate there. Service was great and food was delicious!
Never fails
One of our favorite restaurants in the area. The owner and staff are friendly and the food is always outstanding! I highly recommend the chicken parm dinner. I have to say the chicken they use and the way they make it with lots of sauce and good quality cheese makes it, imho, the best chicken parm I’ve ever had out! Suggest you make a reservation because they are a very popular restaurant.
First time to LB social for a date night and it was a 12/10! The vibe, staff and food were all outstanding. We will definitely be back for more! Also the cookie skillet dessert was AMAZING. Wow. But if dessert isn’t your thing everything else was equally superb.
