This was the worst customer service by all the worker in here expect the Hispanic man behind he the counter he was they one with sense I believe. I ordered a bagel and a croissant toasted and the lady that took my order finish and look at it and my bagel was hard as a rock so I asked her if she can do it over because it was burnt and she started to say it because of a oven when that make no sense she just simple left it in for to long then the Indian man at the counter said it was because I was sitting down like that had anything to do with like it’s not their job to service customers and let us know if the order was done.

The bagels were okay, but the cream cheese spread was watery to the point it dripped from the bagels as we ate them. A bit of a disappointment as we really looked forward to trying this place on a recommendation from a friend.

I cant defend this place anymore. Have been going for over 25 years. No longer. Overpriced, mediocre product and rude staff. Sums it up. Plenty of other bagel stores to frequent without feeling like you’ve been taken advantage of when you’re just trying to eat breakfast.
Worst experience today, My entire family have been coming here for over 35 years. I got some bagels, tuna salad and few other things this morning. I've gotten these salads numerous times. The tuna salad smelled and tasted disgusting and stale. I called the store to make sure it was thrown out and not sold to nobody else. I paid over $10 for half a pound. The owner called me back & swore ot was fresh but that he threw it out anyways and made new one. So I went back to get a new container just to see if he was telling the truth and ofcourse he wasn't. The tuna was still the same old one like before. Then I learnt the shop was bought over by new owners. It's very said that after 35 years I will no longer be eating there.
I'm done. I will never walk into this place again. When previously owned I would go at least 4 times a week. Then the place was sold, cleaned up and Apple Pay set up. So the new owner started giving cash discount. Charging higher price if you used credit card.
Anytime I went into the bagel place I was always rushing to the train station. Today I had plenty of extra time. I had no cash and thought oh well let me use my phone to pay. Because I was paying in cash all the other times, the guy told me the cash price $8.90. Then he realize I was using Apple Pay. Said one minute..... pushed the machine towards my phone and i was charged $13.21. I only realized because i had time to check my phone. Now I wonder how many other times they stole money from me. Really shady. I asked how can it go so much higher. He said credit card fee. The owner was there and gave me the difference back in cash $4.00 Which is even more shady. Obviously he doesn't report his cash intake to the IRS. The deli to the left of this shop has just as nice bagels. Enough is enough. Any business charging you cc fee don't go. Especially don't go to life's a bagel.

Very good bagels and cream cheese. But the people that work there are SO RUDE. I come in and greet good morning and they just nod their heads, everyone that works there has an attitude, especially the older guy and the older lady, very nasty. I’d like to keep going but unfortunately this will be my last time going there.

LOTS of bagels and spreads to choose from, really well made. And they have baked goodies too.
Heads up that it is a kosher spot, so if you're looking for eggs or meat on a breakfast sandwich, you'll have to go elsewhere.

This kosher (under supervision of the South Shore Vaad) bagel place has a nice assortment of regular bagels, mini bagels and flat bagels with cream and other types of spreads. They don't have any egg items or other breakfast items - just bagels with spreads.
The bagels are very good. There are some tables to eat there but it mostly is take out. They are a few blocks from the beach so sitting on a bench and having your bagel there is a great item.

The business is now under new ownership. I hope they maintain the quality of the ingredients. The new owner, Neil, was working the register when I visited. I paid in cash, and he shorted me by rounding up in his favor when giving me my change. I didn't confront him, but I noticed this lack of integrity. Beware, especially if you are a young woman, as he might think it's okay to shortchange you. I certainly took note of it.

Seems to always be jammed so expect a wait especially on a weekend morning. Otherwise, great spreads, great bagels and a very helpful overworked staff
