We are over here on vacation from Ireland for a week. We had breakfast and lunch at Bungalow and on both occasions the food was delicious, service excellent and atmosphere warm and inviting. We will definitely be back.

We waited for 15min before anyone came to us to offer water, and then 10min more before I had to go in to get the water and have our orders taken. We waited 15min more after ordering and were then told that our tab was 4th in line because the kitchen was very busy. There were less than 20 customers in the whole place at that time and only 6 people had walked in since we did. Even more aggravating, a couple that came in 10min after us had their meals delivered at the time we got our water. I went there for the strawberry almond pancake but the service was atrocious at best and intentionally discriminatory at worst. We left and went to Toast, Coffee, and Kitchen down the street and had a most excellent dining experience.

My son and I are a HUGE fan of Bungalow East !! But last nights experience there was beyond amazing ! My friends threw me a surprise birthday dinner in the upstairs room… the waitress Megan was PHENOMENAL!!! As a waitress myself I was blown away by her ! She was truly AMAZING !! She was so accommodating, kind and made the whole atmosphere of the night lively and fun!! She also was a great photographer capturing the whole night for me!! Always a great time at bungalow but Megan truly went above and beyond to make the night special ! Food was great too !

This was my first time here but it looked good from the road . Service is bad here . Everyone has you on the pay no mind list , took forever to get menus , waitress took long time to show up , water was offered but never given , food took a longtime to come and it wasn’t busy at all . Waitress and staff never came back to ask if we were ok or needed something. They all congregated in the front to talk among themselves forgetting that they’re at work or they would just walk around the restaurant like zombies ! Very disappointed! Hopefully owner sees this post and video of his workers .
Visited Tuesday, day after Labor Day 2024 looking for an outdoor, relaxed area for a Margarita as I was in the Long Beach area.
There is nothing worse for a person than feeling invisible and the staff at this spot definitely accomplished this!
I went into the place and spoke to the bartender to let her know I was here and was sitting outside. She acknowledged this.
I sat for about 20 minutes and no one approached me to take an order. I got up, used the restroom then ordered my (mediocre) Margarita that I waited and paid for and carried to my outdoor table.
Five minutes later a staffer came by and asked me if I wanted to order. I said no. While there, a man & woman arrived and sat at a nearby table and were IMMEDIATELY attended to. WTH???
Nice job Bungalow East! Is it understaffing? Or laziness? Customer service is seemingly not anything you value!

The food was HUGE. The burritos we got were like 2 times the size that we had imagined.
Service was pretty fast and the waiters were very polite and friendly, but they accidentally gave me diet Fanta, and they said they realized they didnt have any more Fanta. I dont blame them, though. It’s not really their fault.
Atmosphere was cozy and creative i loved the decorations.
