I was a student from Northern Ireland who was struggling to find somewhere to study that was safe after the library had closed, and I was welcomed in and kept safe. The staff are lovely and kind and the perfect amount of chatty. Would definitely recommend their food.

We were on a road trip, staying near the small town of Hancock for the first time. We stumbled across this gem (steered here after reading options on TripAdvisor) when we were looking for good, reasonably healthy food in a casual setting, with a variety of options beyond typical diner fare, but not too expensive. (Okay, maybe we ended up indulging, but at least it was all freshly prepared and not ultra processed). This place was amazing in every respect. First, was the relaxed, happy atmosphere. True, it wasn’t busy, but by the time the meal was over, we had friendly and warm conversations with the owners Lily and George (also the chef) and our server, Jamie. I don’t think I can recall every being in a restaurant with such friendly people. The decor was somehow both cozy and elegant at the same time. My husband got the special, a chicken primavera, and it was heavenly. The sauce was light and flavorful, and the chicken very tender. My friend and I got a hamburger, and it was excellent. (I rarely eat meat but this was an exception. My husband is a more regular hamburger eater and more of a connoisseur, and he rated it excellent. Obviously, we share our food.) The fries were just average, but really, who needs fries that are so great that you eat a lot of them? The dessert was very good, shortcake with either blueberry or strawberry topping. Definitely homemade with real fruit and not the usual gloppy thick syrupy topping. The prices were exceptionally reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food (very generous portions)—I wont even quote the prices here because I think they are too low to stay that way for long and keep themselves in business! Oh, and the restroom was very nice—always a sign that the owners care about cleanliness as well as the comfort of customers.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. They serve fresh food. I ate the best hamburger ever. Prices are good also. Parking is not an issue.
What a wonderful place! The food made with love, delicious, and good portion sizes (too much for me but not overwhelming and right for my husband). I had a BBQ chicken sandwich with chicken expertly grilled to perfect flavor. My husband had a cheese quesadilla filled just right, and the salsa was spiced perfectly.The person serving seemed to be the owner, and took time for each table. The atmosphere was quiet enough although almost all tables were taken.I will go there again when I'm in the area again!!!
Vegetarian options: I had no trouble finding options even with the short menu. It's very balanced.
