Was hoping to try the açaí bowl at my local supermarket food-cellar. It’s 10:30am on a Thursday. I was in the supermarket looking around and saw the employee was on her phone and doing her nails while I was there. So I waited a while until she was available before I order.

Eventually I had ask when I could order since it didn’t seem like her call would end, she claimed her break only started two minutes ago and will not be done for thirty minutes.

From the other reviews I can understand I’m not the first person to experience this. I asked her for her name but she said she doesn’t need to tell me. I just wanted to try what they were advertising.

I really don’t understand this place. Is it called, Break Juicery, bc the staff is ALWAYS on break. Last 4 out of 10 times I’ve tried to get juice, nobody is there or they’re on break. I’m being generous with 4. It’s likely 6-7 and I guess this is a theme. Store opens and they’re on a 30min break. Just tried to get OJ for my pregnant wife and the guy who is behind the counter, told me he’s on break. Maybe you should change the name to “Always Working Juicery.” Either way, I need this job. Please hire me and pay me in juice.

The açaí bowls are quite good, unfortunately of the last 10 times I’ve visited, 5 times involved missing ingredients and 3 times involved employees being on break. When I inquired as to when breaks typically happen so I could schedule my visits the response was “I can choose any break time I want”. This place has perhaps the worst customer service I’ve experienced in NY and I’m surprised they’re still running

Terrible customer service. They never speak or greet. From their facial expressions you would think this is the worst possible job ever lol. I’m not sure if this is a NY thing, cultural or lack of training. Whatever it is, fix it please!

Completely ignores instructions when ordering through Uber eats ?

Terrible. The staff clearly worked at the grocery and then got assigned to the smoothie bar…and they hate it. Prepare for a 30 minute wait, and a kind of sad smoothie.

Great local place for a quick açaí bowl or fresh juice. It’s located inside foodceller market . So you can get your groceries and a snack! My only wish was that their granola didn’t have raisins. But it’s not too hard to pick them out.

Big disappointment. For some reason there were raisins in my açaí bowl. None of their açaí bowls even have raisins listed in their ingredients. Fortunately there weren’t a lot of raisins. But there were plenty of ice chips to make up for the missing ingredients.

Watery flavorless totally melted acai bowls missing 90% of the ingredients they were supposed to have. Avoid this place
