This establishment had a very friendly homie feel. Service was spot on. Food was great and came out fast but not too fast. I would consider this a neighborhood favorite.

The food is simply amazing. My boyfriend and I ordered French onion soup (I was shocked at how good it was!), a burger, and a Cobb Salad. It was so delicious, the best thing after arriving in New York :)) The tea is also very tasty! I recommend!

Homely warmth on a cold November night. Had a great dinner for 2. We were looking forward to a steak dinner, and Brooks came up. The history beckoned, as well as the positive reviews of good steaks! ??We were not disappointed. Their presentation of the steak smothered in sauce is a bit different from the usual sauce on the side, but the cajun ribeye was very good with a good hint of Cajun spiciness and all-round flavour.The single Waitstaff (and Barmaid) Rosa was super efficient, and our order came out in 20 or so minutes - so the Kitchen was on point too. Kudos.The decor gives the vibe of an old and well-kept establishment. The atmosphere was chilled, good listening music low key in the background, 2 TV screens with the volume off (one news, one sports). It was relatively quiet when we arrived around 8 PM, but more patrons came in around 9 PM.
Pasta was great and at a very good price.Steak was alarmingly small and very pricey!Drinks were generally good.Ultimately disappointed with the food for the price. Dont get the tiny steak.

Our party of 5 went to this place to celebrate the completion of our midterms. From the moment we walked in, we were not greeted warmly. We still stayed because a lot of our classmates were there and thought it would be a nice night. The waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of people in the bar that night, but being overwhelmed does not give anyone the right to be rude to the patrons that come into this establishment. At the end of the night we get our bill and see that we were charged 20% gratuity. Per the waitress this is automatically put in for a group of 6. As stated we were a group of 5. All of us had no issue with the amount we paid as we would have given tip regardless. HOWEVER we were not a party of 6 and when we brought that up to the waitress it was not received well. She asked us if we wanted our money back. We never asked for our money back we only wanted clarification on why she rang us up as a party of six when there were never more than 5.It was also extremely noisy in the bar as most bars are, but when two of the people in our group started singing a song that was playing in the bar, the bartender told them to keep it down. It was a full bar. It was very noisy, but you singled out two people.This wasn’t even the first time we experienced bad service at this bar but it is definitely going to be the last time.The waitress asked one of our classmates to give a heads up the next time he plans on coming to the bar so that they are more prepared. You never know when it will get busy. We walked in at 7pm and you guys close at 11pm. Not scheduling enough staff to account for 4 more hours of operation is inefficient.
