Food and service was outstanding. We tried the fresh tofu and edamame for our starters. The fresh tofu came in a jar and was served with scallions, ginger and soy-dashi sauce. I have never experienced tofu like this and it was amazing! We proceeded to order 5 different sushi rolls starting with the panko-crusted eel roll off of the special list. It was incredibly crunchy and the ingredients were fresh. At the conclusion of our meal, we were offered dessert and then complimentary hot tea. The ambiance was upbeat and chill. We noted that the music selection included Pink Martini. Would definitely return!

Great Japanese traditional food. Their obanzai (appetizer) menu changes daily and is very tasty. They have really good sashimi as well, I recommend their kaisen don. And the grilled fish teishoku plate is delicious too. Feels super authentic.

The overall quality of sushi was good, it's delicious and clean, and neither is too much or too little.Compared to the prices in New York, the prices were reasonable and the composition varied. I had Hibino Sushi Plate, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Spicy Tuna Roll, and I highly recommend Hibino Sushi Plate. If you are close, I would recommend visiting!

Delicious and fresh sushi. Come early as they get busy. Kaisen don looks deceivingly small but I almost couldn't finish. Hand roll was also very good.

Came in on a whim Saturday night and snagged the last table for 2. She shrimp toji was extremely large piece of shrimp delicately fried. The lobster tempura and the kaisen Don were quite adequate. The Sakana kama( broiled fish collar) was exquisitely cooked assortment of 4 fish (amber jack, bass, etc) for the low low price of $6!! Awesome appetizer from the blackboard selection

Hibino is definitely worth a visit. The food was delicious. The bento box is a good portion and has various options. For dessert, we had their famous soy milk pudding.Kid-friendliness: There are lots of babies and kids on Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was very accommodating with high chairs at the ready and kid friendly bowls and plates.

I have lived in New York City for almost five years, and this was my 10+ visit to this restaurant. When I entered the store, the two clerks stood at the counter, far away from the door, and just looked at me without approaching me and asking me for my reservation name. I had no choice but to say my name loudly, and then they just pointed at the empty seats and asked me to sit there. Still, no one approached me…The miso soup they served was cold (the tofu in it was even worse; it was tasted like it had just been taken out of the refrigerator, which I had never experienced during several previous visits.). They didn't apologize; they just said they would give me a new one. However, even though the new soup was hot, the tofu was still cold. The worst thing was that when I wanted to order dessert, I raised my hand several times, but no one saw me. There were only two clerks and one of them kept staring at the screen and didn't see me waving. It seems that they need more waitress/waiter.Worst of all, the waiter asked me what dessert I wanted; I said I wanted "Tofu Pudding," but she gave me a salty tofu side dish. After I told her I wanted the sweet tofu pudding as dessert, she told me it is called "Soy Pudding" instead of "Tofu Pudding," but this item is not listed on their menu. How do I know the full name? And who would order a salty tofu after all the meal is finished and been taken away?I have been here more than ten times before, and every time I told the waiter that I wanted "Tofu Pudding," they all served me sweet tofu pudding desserts. This has never happened before?I don’t know if the store manager or waiter has changed. All of these have never happened before I’ve brought my friends and family here before, but after all of these I will never come again…it was my first had a cold miso soup in a Japanese restaurant ?

Currently the best sushi I've had in NYC. For a fair price as well! You can taste that the fish is fresh, and it comes with a variety too so not just the most common ones. The desserts were great too and I like it all around.

Perfect for a quick lunch spot cuz they have bento boxes with a variety of options with cheap prices. It comes with miso soup and it is good too. Might go there again if I'm in the area.
