I was really disappointed with the food, the tacos were cold, the mole was worse, I asked no white meat and they gave me 1/4 of the chicken breast such a small piece and two tiny wings, only the drinks were ok, if you want quality go somewhere else, too bad Mariachi is closed

I’ve been here a few times and the girl server is fantastic. The guy servers Eric and other small guy are not. I was served food and not given utensils until I asked for them. He barely checked on us. I asked for a beer and 15 minutes passed before I decided to ask for the check and leave. One of my worst experiences there. Would not go back

The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the kitchen staff consistently produces quality authentic delicious well presented meals. The drinks are great, the mole is the best in Astoria, the guacamole is prepared fresh to order, and the calamari is tender and crispy. One dollar oysters ( always plump and fresh) is the reason we tried Chano’s, and we’re so happy that it’s a regular menu item!! Great staff, talented Chefs, authentic Mexican cuisine in a charming casual setting. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Astoria

And the Chano's Burrito was excellent. My server did recommend the Broccoli Burrito (not vegetarian) after I ordered.
And great prices on Happy Hour beers (this isn't Manhattan).

Incredible. Chano cannot be beat. It’s one of those places that you think back to when you’re eating subpar Mexican for triple the cost. It’s the only place in nyc I recommend to everyone I can. I feel like a broken infomercial but I cannot deny how damn good ALL the food, drink, and deserts are!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. While it’s a cute spot, the drinks were too strong and poorly mixed, which made them hard to enjoy. The food was underwhelming, and overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. It’s got potential, but it needs a lot of improvement before I’d consider returning.
