I was really disappointed with the food, the tacos were cold, the mole was worse, I asked no white meat and they gave me 1/4 of the chicken breast such a small piece and two tiny wings, only the drinks were ok, if you want quality go somewhere else, too bad Mariachi is closed
The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the kitchen staff consistently produces quality authentic delicious well presented meals. The drinks are great, the mole is the best in Astoria, the guacamole is prepared fresh to order, and the calamari is tender and crispy. One dollar oysters ( always plump and fresh) is the reason we tried Chano’s, and we’re so happy that it’s a regular menu item!! Great staff, talented Chefs, authentic Mexican cuisine in a charming casual...
My server was extraordinary. Such a nice kid and seemed genuinely interested in what this old man was doing in Astoria on a Monday evening.
And the Chano's Burrito was excellent. My server did recommend the Broccoli Burrito (not vegetarian) after I ordered.
And great prices on Happy Hour beers (this isn't Manhattan).
