I love KAL I wish I had more pictures of their food! This food feels like medicine to my soul. I had some soup with tofu and mushrooms and can't forget the ssam! I love eating here with others. Their staff was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with all my questions haha. I will be returning.
I had just moved into a new room, boxes barely unpacked, stomach growling like a beast. Craving Korean fried chicken, I wandered out into the rainy streets of Astoria, and then it happened. I walked past Kal, and something pulled me in. Like fate. Or maybe just really good food energy.

This is just the cutest little spot I've ever seen with some of the best Korean food I've ever had, just kind of stumbled upon it walking in Astoria and boy am I glad I did, everything was phenomenal and this is probably the best spicy rice cakes I've ever had and I've had a lot, can't recommend enough probably my favorite food I had during my trip to NYC.
