If the restaurant is anything like the popup they had at the Bronx night market, it's definitely not good. The spring rolls were all frozen and not handmade they were prepackaged from a manufacturer. The bao buns were tasty but small and I didn't dare to try anything else after that. I'll give the restaurant a shot one day but if I find out it's frozen I'm out

We went to 23-23 Borden Ave but there was no sign of the restaurant. Maybe they only take online orders but they should have made it clear. It is an industrial area, not friendly for pedestrians. Please be aware!

Lemak Kitchen is a ghost kitchen, serving the most incredible Malay food from a warehouse space on the outskirts of LIC.The exceptional food is well seasoned with generous portions. I had a seafood curry, which had shrimp, clams, mussels, and tofu, two kinds of egg noodles, and bean sprouts in an overflowing bowl of awesome. The curry was mildly spicy. Only complaint was that the noodles were under salted, which is so very minor. Everything was packed very well, surviving a subway ride with no mishaps. The weird: Lemak is located in the industrial section of town. There is no retail and if you're walking alone, you may be uncomfortable. When you get to the loading dock, which is thankfully well labeled, you have to walk down a long hallway with automatic lighting to find the kitchen. There's no seating, no restroom, no ADA compliance. The tasty is reserved only for the brave of heart and utmost devotees of deliciousness. The cook tonight (Salama?) was very kind, and had my order completed in 15 minutes even though the website said 40 minutes. Yay!

food is okay if you never had authentic, the anchovy and peanuts are either store bought or been sitting for too long because they are not crispy and no aroma at all. Beef rendang is a bit too salty, chicken curry is too watery and they put way too much turmeric, if you spill a little your kitchen turns yellow lol
We enjoyed the delicious foods of lemak kitchen at the Bryant park stall. Malaysian born and raised here, and their food reminded me of home. We tried the nasi lemak and it was fresh, authentic, and honestly hard to match outside of Malaysia. Very well done Kesh and team. We went back 2 more times on different days to eat it. My wife and I highly recommend.

Lemak Malaysian Kitchen had a food kiosk at Bryant Park in NYC and it was not bad at all. I had the chicken satay and it was very tasty. My only critique, there was not enough of the chicken satay—I counted five little tiny pieces—and the rest of the bowl was spinach and rice. Even the extra peanut sauce was not sufficient to bathe the rice and spinach, but definitely, it was tasty.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem, it’s what makes eating in NYC so special. Absolutely extraordinary food from fantastic people in an unusual location. Walk through the loading dock and back to the kitchen where you’ll find the owner Kesh. I had the Roti Canai (perfectly flaky) with chicken curry. Wonderful. Don’t miss the Kaya Toast for a sweet dessert. Will definitely be back and telling everyone I know!

Lemak Kitchen make amazing food. Really you have to try what they make.
Lemak food is amazing! I've already tried a few dishes and they are all so good, like the chicken curry and Lemak rice with beef rendang. Excellent Malaysian food!
