The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious and the entire experience was wonderful. We were married in May 1989, at Water's Edge. Happy to be back in that same spot! Highly recommend! We'll be returning soon!

The place is very comfortable for dinner, the dishes are exquisite and the service is completely excellent, they can offer service in Spanish if you do not speak English. Without a doubt an excellent option for a romantic dinner or with friends. Also near the place you find impressive views to capture some memories.

Right behind the gigantic Long Island City Pepsi-Cola sign sits an elegant waterfront Italian restaurant, Maiella. With spectacular views of the city, beautiful decor, cozy environment, and happy staffs that make you smile, this is the place to unwind. Charlin took our order today with the biggest smile. Let’s start it off dinner with some beef carpaccio and oysters. Order a truffle pasta served table side and a gorgeous 40-ounce Tomahawk steak for two! For dessert, we enjoyed an affogatoand a chocolate budino which is an Italian pudding thickened with egg yolk instead of gelatin. Lemoncello on the house to complete dinner. AtMaiella, you can experience a spectacular contemporary Italian meal right by the water. My birthday celebration at Maiella turned into a disappointing disaster, marking it as one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I've ever had. What was meant to be a special occasion with my wife, mother, and little sister visiting for my birthday ended up being far from the beautiful dinner we had envisioned. The disappointment started with the appetizers. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery, prompting us to send it back. Unfortunately, the replacement was no better, leaving us disheartened from the beginning. The wait for our entrees only added to the frustration, and when they finally arrived, it was clear that things weren't improving. My mother's short ribs were burnt and tough, forcing her to eat them due to hunger from the prolonged wait. As for my own order, I had requested the chef's special ravioli with spinach and ricotta, but instead received a rabbit dish. This mix-up led to further delays as I waited for the correct order while my family proceeded to eat without me. To add insult to injury, when my dish eventually arrived, it was cold and improperly cooked.Throughout this ordeal, the manager failed to make an appearance to check on our satisfaction, compounding our disappointment. The only silver lining was the service provided by Jennifer, who remained understanding and friendly despite the mishaps. Without her exceptional service, this experience would have warranted a mere one-star rating. In conclusion, my birthday dinner at Maiella was a complete letdown and certainly not worth the money spent.

Disappointed for tonight's dinner. I suggested this place for my husband's birthday cause I had a good time with my sisters the last time I was here. Tonight was just not good, our calamari was over cooked, they did take it back and tried again but still overcooked the second time around. The salad was good, so that's good. I had scallops which is good, but my mother in law had her short ribs, and it was burnt and had a cold sauce all over it, she was so hungry that she tried to still finished it all up. My husband ordered the special ravioli but they gave him rabbit, so we had to wait for another 20 min to get his food, he ate 1 ravioli and had a cold taste the last bite but on his second ravioli it was extremely cold so we had to ask them to take it back. The service is okay but the food was just a dissappointment.
