price did go up to 6 dollars and they did reduce amount of food along with the quality, but what can you expect for 6-7 dollars?? nice staff though, drink is mainly the filling thing in the meal though. also really big line and it doesnt help that people tend to get more then 2 platters a lot which holds up the

Mando halal food is a go to food for lunch after lectures. Very cheap and affordable for college students like me, the platters used to be $5 but now its $6 but its still okay. The guy always greets me with a smile and prepares the food very fast. The lamb or chicken over rice taste so good compared to the price, of course the best part is the sauce. Never got bored of their food, I've been ordering every time after I finished classes since the begining of the year.

This is my go to place to get lunch when I am nearby the area. They used to charge 5 dollars for a halal chicken or lamb platter plus soda. Although They recently increased the price to 6 dollars per platter with soda, it is still a great deal for a fulfilling lunch. I always tip them because these people work so hard. Their platter has a choice of lamb or chicken, yellow or Spicy rice, white / red / bbq sauce , along with a small Portion of salad and 2-3 pieces of fries. Definitely a must try if you are around the area and wanna save some money.

Made me sick to my stomach looks like the salad or the white sauce was spoil now I’m with a horrible food poisoning. Last time I’ll be eating food from them I usually get food from Halah Guys but they do not service during the summer break, Mando kart is so small I won’t be surprised that there salad and sauces are not at the right temperature specially because of the summer heat.

Yesterday, I bought a platter from Mando since I work at Building B. I took a couple of bites, but I noticed the food had a weird smell, especially the salad. Of course, I stopped eating it, but unfortunately, I had already chewed and swallowed some. This ended up causing digestive issues, and I've had diarrhea all night long. Mando has high reviews, but sometimes they probably don't keep certain foods like their white sauce and salad at the right temperature, especially the raw tomatoes.

The only place left in NYC where you can get a full tasty lunch - with a drink! - for $4. There's always a line here while the other carts are empty, which says it all.

So freaking good. The food is delicious, the portions are great, and the prices are very very very good. $5 for chicken or lamb over rice, and $6 for combo. Comes with a drink too.I recommend the chicken over rice. I felt that the lamb was lacking in flavor compared to other halal carts. Also try the green sauce!Closes early btw - 5pm on weekdays.
