There are very few true classic New York diners left, and this is one of them. If you want to immerse yourself in a tine capsule, come here. I just came back from breakfast there, the first time since before Covid, and my eggs and rye toast with crispy home fries were exactly as I remembered. I first came here in the 1980s and it still looks the same - clean and sharp with shiny aluminum and Art Deco details, and the sparkly vinyl booth benches. This place has nothing to prove....
