Family of 8 with two young age kids went for a bday lunch, I highly recommend it to all NY or non NY residents. Good food, excellent service, clean pleasant atmosphere. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Great servers, friendly, professional. Highly recommend for tourists too, it is a real gem ? reachable by subway or car.

OVERPRICED, actually VERY overpriced for the food they offer! Went there for lunch mind you. One beans hummus appetizer, two soups, two average main dishes and two drinks, over $140 and 20% gratuity automatically added...making it over $170. Will never go back there, stay away!

The Romanian Garden Restaurant in Queens, New York, offers a delightful culinary experience with its authentic Romanian dishes. The cozy ambiance and welcoming staff create a warm atmosphere for diners. The menu boasts a variety of flavorful options, including traditional mămăligă, sarmale, and mouthwatering mici. The portions are generous, and the presentation adds to the overall appeal. The restaurant's commitment to preserving Romanian culinary traditions is evident in each dish. Whether you're a fan of Romanian cuisine or a newcomer, the Romanian Garden Restaurant is a must-try for an enjoyable dining experience in Queens.

Service-0 We got tickets for an event held by this restaurant. When we arrived, we were asked to get the fix menu of $60 + drinks per person otherwise we can't be there. To mention, this information was no were mentioned. We tried to negotiate by getting drinks and food but not a fix menu. Firmed NO come from owner, not even trying to accommodate. My friends went there before, they were not surprised of this behavior but I was! I went there for the first time, come all the way from CT to be asked to leave because we were not welcome since we do not want to buy the fix menu. Very unprofessional behavior by arguing Infront of all restaurant how important for her is the $60.00 Food - never had the chanse to taste Ambiance - never experienced BUT BUY the unpleasant experience, I believe the ambiance is crap as the owner.....SHAME ON YOU Daniela or Gabriela whatever your name is

The worst costumer service I have ever experienced. This lady, Gabriela, the owner, she forgot or better say, she have not learned how to greet a costumer. Especially a new costumer.I’ve got the tickets for an event ( technically i bought tickets for the venue) not for the restaurant. To find out that there is a fix menu that I like it or not, I have to purchase, just to be clear, this was nowhere mentioned on the link. Mistake was made between owner and the event manager who forgot to mention many details….. however , the communication was very rude, not even trying to accommodate us since it’s theirs mistake. ComOn people, that’s not my fault was not mentioned anywhere, but you, as an owner, could try to accommodate not to ask us to leave. We spent money to come from CT to your damn restaurant to have the authentic experience, the food and the Moldavian / Romanian experience… but we were not even given a chance. This message is for the owner, greedy for more money, you will get less, be nice to everyone and will come to you. With this attitude you will lose everything….

Food was better than expected. Environment seemed like it can get exciting as it was very large. Looks like they have live bands. I wish it would've been tonight. I'll try again next time.

Cascaval pane was cold and had to be reheated! In Romania it is made on the spot and it is typically flambe! This was made in the morning and reheated in the microwave! Bread was store made so nothing too impressive. Papanasi were very very good. Salata de boeuf was not impressive either. Mititei were good. All wine bottles were 40 dollars which gave me the impression that I was at some sort of Ritz Carlton restaurant based on how expensive it was. Bottom line: overrated and expensive for the value. It was almost empty, no Romanian music either.

Good authentic Romanian food and a nice ambiance and server....I didn't catch her name(blond)The food is good and authentic but there used to be 4 mititei for $20 now it's gone up to $23 and there's only 3 I felt like they should have done either one but NOT both! I Have been going there from the beginning even when they were at the other 2 locations ...just a bit disappointing!Parking: There's metered street parking but it's hard to find a spot!
