They've changed hands and now I fear that the Simple Love will go out of it. I loved the Chinese couple who ran this store and the new management doesn't strike me as too loving. They've been renovating the place and I also fear rising prices. I suspect they'll turn it into something like The Greenpoint Gourmet Deli. Gourmet means greedy in my experience.

The owners treat everyone with kindness. They make classic sandwiches to order, but also have some surprise menu additions posted by the counter. The convenience section is great - it has the perfect bodega hodgepodge of everything you might want. They also have a selection of imported snacks facing the far wall from the door. They have high quality eggs and milk.
