Spice is my favorite Thai restaurant chain in NY. From I was first introduced to the location in Long Island City, I have visited and/or ordered food from all the locations, and I can honestly say that I have never had a dish that I disliked!! Spice offers a wide range of authentic thai dishes that are rich in flavor and always served in large portions, and a selection of unique drinks that are strong and tasty. Whether dining in or grabbing a meal to go, you can never go wrong with Spice!!

I’ve walked past this place many times and finally stopped by recently. I’m generally a big fan of Thai food, but everything our group ordered was disappointing. All the dishes tasted overly sweet and lacked much flavor or spice. The noodles tasted overcooked and the dumplings were dry. We could not bring ourselves to finish all of the food and left feeling somewhat ill.

First Thai restaurant in New York, we had a great time. the dishes are spicy but it is reasonable, the service is attentive. The price is good, we ate very well

Food is mediocre at best , sanitary issues . Service is okay. Furniture is old and place is in immense need of renovation. Wine was old and had almost no alcohol

The restaurant provides a nice setting for a casual lunch/dinner or a date. It has touches of modern yet cozy interior, with warm lighting and Thai decor.
The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They are quick to offer recommendations. The service was prompt and we got our food very quick.

The flavors were bold and well-balanced, with fresh ingredients that enhance the overall taste. We tried:

- Thai Ice tea

- Mongolian Deluxe with white fish sautéed with Pineapple, Onion, Bell Pepper, tomatoes, celery, cucumber and sweet & sour sauce

- Panang Curry with beef which had a blender taste of sweet, medium spice and little salty curry w/ string beans and lime leaf

The portions were generous, and the prices are reasonable, which makes the restaurant a great choice for both a quick lunch and a leisurely dinner.

I gave 4 stars because to be honest , the food was great. But the service was horrible. I don’t think it was the ladies fault because we were watching her and she spent a lot of time trying to put in orders on her handheld and she didn’t seem to even understand us . The drinks took a long time, and we didn’t get even greeted, other than getting menus, for almost 10 min. It really looked like she had not been trained properly and/or shouldn’t have been by herself because it was slightly busy with a lot of take out orders, delivery drivers and about 6 tables. I’m giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but you should really retrain and/or put someone else on shift with her

This was was favorite go.to place for Thai food...it always was delicious..I haven't been in a while , so for lunch I decided to go, I don't know what happened but this was the worst thai food I ever ate , thai wings were horrible, calamari was soggy and greasy, the normal sauce for calamari was gone its repacked with a disgusting sauce now, seafood fried rice now had imitation crab...unreal...I'm hoping this is not all spice ,maybe they got a new chef, but I won't be going back
