We’ve stayed in LIC for over 4 years now and we eat at Takumen almost every other week. The best part of our meal is definitely the service. Lert, our usual waiter makes us feel like family. He’s so welcoming and remembers all our favorites by heart. Alex, behind the bar, and the rest of the crew make the whole experience rather beautiful in a city that can often feel impersonal. The chicken karage rice bowl is a steal! So much food and so yummy! The yuzu ginger drink is handmade!...
Takumen is one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. Make sure to try the chicken karage, and if you’re lucky maybe Lert will be your server! Oh, and don’t forget to get the match/vanilla- swirl, soft-serve ice cream for dessert!

I only discovered this after receiving my credit card statement.
Contacted them they didn’t help.
Be cautious, people pulling a lever for just 30 seconds can steal 30% of your bill right in front of your eyes.‼️‼️
