The Elm Reviews
We tend to go there every weekend because we trust the chef! Amazing food and the staff is friendly.
Coming to upstate NY I was on the lookout for Haddock fish diners. Jeans Beans in Watertown, known for 75 years for their Haddock, could learn something from the Elm. The fish was cooked and presented perfectly. Jeans Beans served a massive portion but it was over cooked and dry. This is what you want.
Homemade!! Good Food and Bakery.

The Elm is a small restaurant in upstate New York that serves a range of dishes. The fish is a highlight, with haddock cooked and presented perfectly. Many guests say it is the best Reuben they have ever had. The lunch menu includes a Reuben with fries, a Janettes lunch special, sliders, soup, and salad. Breakfast is also offered, and staff are willing to serve customers even after the usual cutoff. A waffle with sausage gravy was praised as especially good and flavorful. The special for the day often includes items such as a shaved ribeye steak and cheese sub, served with macaroni salad. The bakery has raspberry chocolate turnovers and a huge brownie, and the warm lemon bar is a recommended dessert. Service is described as great, friendly, efficient, and attentive. The staff are quick to help those with special needs and offer complimentary goodie items. Many customers return for the excellent food, generous portions, and welcoming atmosphere. The Elm also offers fresh pastries and a fish sandwich or fish dinner for those who enjoy seafood. Overall, the restaurant is praised for its excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming environment. Guests often mention the friendly staff and quick service.
