If you are looking for solid authentic Mexican food, without the americanized spin, this is the place. Friendly staff and food that will keep you coming back. They really are an asset to the community, but would travel a fair bit to experience this real deal. Other Mexican places in the area and we love them too, but Eli reminds me of being on vacation in Mexico and grabbing a meal on the corner. So good.

Papusas in Macedon NY?! Truly genuine Mexican/Central American food. Quesabirria was ??Y’all need to get a location in Rochester, guaranteed you’ll have a line out the door. Don’t compromise on the home-cooked taste though! That’s what none of the other Mexican places have.

The pupusas here are probably the most authentic I’ve had in the US, and the tacos were fantastic as well! Chips were freshly made, service was excellent - I can’t recommend it enough. You won’t be disappointed.

Papusas!!!! Near Rochester!!! We moved from San Francisco 12 years ago and STILL miss all of the various Latin American street foods that were easily available. So when my friend told me there was a restaurant in Macedon making papusas with cabbage salad, I found an excuse to head out there! Macedon isn't too far from all of the u-pick orchards in the Webster-Walworth areas, in case you visit Schutts, G&S orchards, or head out to the apple country of Wayne County. Do yourself a favor and go have lunch or get take-out from Eli Mexican!
