Stopped by for a quick lunch whilst traveling for work. The place is reminiscencent of the latter triple d type. I had the fried chicken app, which was crispy and tasty. When the tacos arrived, they were the soft variety with no mention of that on the menu. The meat was very overseasoned and overpowered the dish. The 3 stars is being kind in case it was just a bad day.

The food is really good and the waitresses are friendly. My only complaint is that it is a bit dirty. I wish they would clean it up a little, the walls, tables, etc. My family loves to go there but I always feel as though I need to wipe the table down before we sit.

Hometown Cafe is very well known for their breakfasts (and they are very good), but tonight's mission was to try out their Saturday night prime rib dinner. Wait staff is well trained and efficient. The prime rib dinner comes with a nice garden salad and choice of side. I opted for mashed potatoes with gravy - just because everything seems better with gravy. The salad was good - cool and crisp and came with a pre-packaged dressing. The prime rib was very tender and the mashed potatoes were great - homemade and well....just darn good. The portion size wasn't huge which is fine - I was full and the price is borderline ridiculous - $13.99. Great spot for home cooking at a really reasonable price.

Realize they were busy, but waitress gave 2 guys menu's who walked in while we had been sitting waiting for 15 and didn't even get a menu...walked out
It's diner food. It's a great place if you just want to get a quick bite. Don't expect anything fancy.

Excellent!!!! Waitresses are top notch, friendly and just wonderful people. Haven't met the chef but it's all great food! Hometown doesn't actually explain, More like homemade cooking like mom use to do... The best!!!!!

The food was old and gross and there were too many flies. Overall I would not come here again.

Had a delicious lunch for a very reasonable lunch. The menu contains some interesting, and surprising, choices.
