Absolutely fantastic food. Fresh chicken served daily. For first-timers, I recommend trying the House Rub 6-Piece wings. The House rub is a unique blend of different spices & peppers with a very subtle, sweet hint of bbq - not too sweet or salty, just right. The food was cooked pretty quickly. Ranch sauce has a natural homemade taste & texture as well.Taste: 9.5/10Freshness: 10/10Presentation: 10/10Service: 10/10*Side note: The restaurant is very clean.

I'm letting you know up-front that this is one of those reviews that's strongly based on personal preference."But aren't most reviews based on personal preference?" you might ask.Yes, but I think it's especially true for things like wings and barbecue because the *style* of the food affects how much you like - or don't like - the restaurant.Barbecue, for example, has a TON of distinctly different styles: Memphis, Tennessee, Kansas City, West/North/South Carolina, Central/East/South Texas, and much more. If you're a die hard KC BBQ person, you probably prefer that over Texas-style. You get it.When it comes to Buffalo wings, I like the fry-sauce-bake (FSB) kind. The wings are satisfyingly crispy, the sauce is baked on, adding a deeper level of flavor, and because they're baked they're drier, so blue cheese dressing sticks if you like to dip the wings like I do. FSB wings are just better all around. Unfortunately for me, The Blue Hen cooks their wings (not sure how), serving them immediately after saucing them, resulting in soft-skinned wings drenched and dripping wet with sauce. You might love this style; it's not for me.The wings themselves are basic, average, straight-up wings. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, and this is not a bad review. There's just nothing special, unique, or distinctive about them, which might be exactly what you want. No judgment, here. The Blue Hen isn't my go-to wings place because they don't make wings the way I like them made. If you like their style, then this could be your place.

Always a fantastic experience coming here! They have great food, their french fries are amazing, and the service is so quick and polite!

Great takeout joint. Loved the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, as well as the Grilled Chicken Salad. Fried pickles are a must! Only drawback is they deliver.

Good wings. Good fried chicken. Good biscuits. They said 20 minutes and it was ready in 20 minutes. I'll be back.

We were on a bike ride on the nearby rail trail and decided to stop and explore for a lunch spot. We were so happy with what we found! We realized we didn't have our wallets, as this wasn't a planned stop and we were able to pay (after ordering) with Google Pay, they were so patient! We ordered the Thai Chicken Salad and the Grilled Chicken Avocado Wrap w a side of Coleslaw. We are notoriously picky about slaw and it's mayo/acid/s&p levels, this was perfect!! We were so happy and absolutely recommend not just the slaw but the salad and wrap.In addition, my Husband had a great point, this restaurant makes itself seem like it's just a Fried Chicken spot (which of course we need to try) but he said, "they should use the word gourmet to describe themselves". I absolutely agree, it's far more than a chicken spot, we weren't sure what to expect from the exterior but they surpassed our expectations and will recommend it to everyone!!

My husband stopped by 8/26/23 approximately half hour before closing. My meal consisted of what should be curly fries and wings. When the meal arrived,;there were 4 curly fries and the rest was little nuggets of fries that were very hard and crunch; the wings were a little under cooked. He went back this morning 8/27/23 to make a complaint and show them pictures but;:they were dismissive .One lost customer here. ?

I went and a couple times I’ve been they messed up my order. I hear greats thing ab their fried chicken but I tried it and it’s very dry and their fries are soggy. However they have healthier options like their salad and it’s very good. Also their mozzarella sticks are very good along with their Mac and cheese. They have a lot of options which expands their diversity making it a better restaurant but I have to say their sliders are very good but both times I’ve tried it it made me sick. Their regular burger is good though. They have fast food options and healthy options along with normal options. Overall it’s a solid place to go and eat with your familyKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with all the food options kids always change they’re mind so it’s good that this restaurant is diverseParking: With the parking if the restaurant was busier it would have limited parking but it’s hidden and doesn’t advertise so blue hen isn’t that popular

The wings didn't have any flavor. I've been back after my original post and they've gotten better with the flavors but ultimately they have the worst blue cheese in the game. It tastes like ranch with blue cheese crumbles.
