We were able to snag a table for two at the last minute with the help of a very accommodating hostess. We spent 10 minutes waiting at the bar, where the bartender was quick, efficient and friendly. Our table was a cozy (not cramped) corner booth for two and the seating was very comfy. Laraine was our sever and she was great. Attentive without intruding. Quick without being frantic. Excellent excellent service. The food was delicious and served hot. There is nothing that we would change about our visit except we should have tried this restaurant sooner!

We have been there a few times now and they have good menu selections. The service is very good. They aim to please the customer. Try their wagyu burger it is fantastic! The place is noisy at times as the resturant is in an vintage repurposed train station. Could use some acoustic dampening.

Much better food in the area than this place that include 25 North (far superior food, service, management, and a great place for private events), Alessia's (Great new addition to town; the pizza here is fabulous and Moderns is a joke) and Nona Carola if you're looking for that beautiful interior atmosphere (Modern is very nice inside, but the food quality and manager here makes it a must skip). I have had private parties here, birthday parties, etc. and will take my business for good elsewhere - tried for over a year to like the place again as we had in past years and can't waste the time / occasion to celebrate / money trying any longer.

Hosted my baby shower at Modern on the Rails and was very happy with the food and the service. Very pretty room and parking was convenient for all guests. Highly recommend if you are looking to host an event of any kind.

I can’t say enough good things about Modern on the Rails for my daughter’s bridal shower brunch. I had great feedback on the venue and the delicious food. The staff was attentive and so helpful, my guest’s drinks as well as the buffet selections were constantly filled. The atmosphere is unique and so pretty with exposed brick and beautiful chandeliers. I. borrowed their cart to do a bouquet bar that turned out to be a hit with everyone. The shower was everything the bride to be had hoped for. Thank you to Lori, John, Julianna and Kevin for making this an stress-free, perfect day for us.

Had a reservation for 7:15. Showed up 20 mi early and our table was ready. Meal wasn't finished until 10:11pm. Had to ask several times for drinks to be refilled. Took 20-30 minutes for each round of drinks to show up. Took almost 30 minutes for the check to show up and it was wrong... food was good, but not worth the poor and inattentive service
