“Incredible. The warmly furnished dining room of Osteria Sardenga was immediately welcoming, and the service only enhanced that feeling, never rushing or interrupting the dinner. But more than the service or atmosphere, the food was the true star, and the meal I had tonight was one of the best I have had in months.
For appetizers I tried the meatballs(juicy and flavorful with a pecorino accented tomato sauce), the Sardinian flatbread(crisp and cracker like covered with cheese and peppery herbs), and the Artichokes which were the best thing I ate that night. Tender and sweet poached insides, contrasted with a crisp and nutty fried outside, and drenched in a lemony sauce; If you order nothing else, order the artichokes.
For my main I had a pasta dish called Malloreddus, which I later learned refered to the small shell like pasta shape and not the rich beef ragu that coated it. And the pasta was the star of the dish, each pleasantly chewy shell scooping up generous amounts of meaty ragu.
As for desserts, I was able to try the chocolate cake(decadent), the tartufo(baseball sized with a generous snappy chocolate shell that melted in the mouth), the pistachio cheesecake(a unique and delicious version that had three layers, one of cake, one that was creamy and white, and a pistachio layer with little crumbles of pistachio in it), and the tiramisu which was maybe the best rendition of tiramisu I had ever tasted. And I'm sure, as the owner said when he slipped the dessert menu in front of us, that there were no bad desserts on the menu. In fact, at this point I would be surprised if a single dish on the menu, or on the extensive specials menu, wasn't good. I will definitely be coming back.

Some small critiques at the end, although my mom won't stop talking about how good the meatballs were, having only two felt a little sad. And my pasta dish was a touch too salty. I wouldn't want this to scare anyone away from ordering either dish though, as both were still excellent.

“I had to come back and leave another review because this experience seriously stood out. The Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely incredible — perfectly chopped, super fresh, and coated in the most rich, creamy dressing that had just the right balance of tangy and savory. Every bite was consistent, flavorful, and honestly one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long time.

What really made the visit even better was the service. DiBonan and Malachi were both amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it and brought such a positive energy to the whole experience.

It’s rare to find both great food and great people in one place, but this spot nailed it. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.”

“I love to eat Halal food, I've had good and I've had bad. This was definitely excellent! The resturant is clean, the service was great and the food was very good. I ordered chicken and lamb over rice, lettuce, tomato and onion. Hot sauce, (1 line was hot enough for me!). He gave me extra on the side just in case it wasn't hot enough which I thought was a nice gesture. The white sauce was delicious and he let me sample the green chutney, it was a Cilantro based sauce that honestly made this dish even better. I will definitely be returning, thanks again!”

“Very homey feel here. Service was fast from the woman at the front who tended to multiple people. The value was excellent for breakfast, where I ordered from one of their deals. Ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and it came with toast (4 pieces), juice, and coffee. Very affordable and I'd recommend coming here. There's a parking garage and street parking on the hill to the right of this restaurant (free on Sundays).”

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.”

“I vividly remember the old Mercurio store the was on the Avenue across from this one. What a classic Italian deli, with the servers dressed in white smocks. The variety of Italian delicacies, and the aromas, were so enticing. I was glad to see that the pasta store still exists. The lasagna noodles and fettuccine we purchased were excellent.”

Green Life in Mamaroneck, NY is a great place. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a modern, clean, and beautifully kept space that feels warm and inviting. The atmosphere is calm, stylish, and perfect whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite, sitting down for lunch, or meeting someone after work.
The staff is incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive, and the owner is absolutely amazing. I had ordered a meal for my son, but he wasn’t feeling it at the moment. Without hesitation, the owner went out of her way to bring him his favorite fruit, simply out of kindness. She took the time to speak with me, was fully present, pleasant, and genuinely caring. That type of customer service is rare and truly appreciated.
As for the food, it was excellent. My sandwich was a solid 9/10, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The juice I ordered was a perfect 10/10, it was so refreshing and delicious. You can really taste the quality in their ingredients.
Green Life offers a great variety of options including protein bowls, smoothies, juices, sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items, meal prep, and kid-friendly food. There’s truly something for everyone.

Over the weekend, we placed an order for a cold antipasto platter and a hummus plate, and I must say, they were absolutely perfect! The quality, presentation, and taste exceeded our expectations. Parking on Mamaroneck Ave can be a bit tricky, but if you circle around, you’ll usually find something.

We like sitting near the front with a view of the street. Service is consistently good, and it’s nice seeing familiar staff over multiple visits.

We usually order a variety of rolls and share, which makes for a great mix. Everything is fresh, well presented, and tastes great. A Sapporo pairs perfectly with the meal.

Definitely a spot we’d recommend and continue to revisit.”

The chicken cutlet is thin and crispy, the chili is spicy, and the mayo lettuce and tomato cuts the spice.
